"Sorry about the wait, I'm up to my eyeballs in it today." Levi's doctor said in a loud, slightly obnoxious Irish accent. She had light brown hair and a constant wide smile on her face as she guided him from the door to the patient chair before sitting at her desk.

"So, what can I do you for Levi?" She smiled. Levi was incredibly put off by her cheeriness and now regretted his decision to come here.

"Uh, I, Ive not been sleeping very well lately and think I need sleeping pills or something." Levi explained.

"Okay, and what do you think is causing this?" She asked, giving him a smile of encouragement.

"I-I don't know." Levi mumbled. He was not at a shrink, she did not need to know all his problems.

"Well, sleep deprivation is can be a real problem, so we need to get to the bottom of it. I have a friend who, after having just had a baby, put breast milk in her and her husbands coffee in the morning for a week straight." She said, before she burst out laughing. Levi didn't say anything, as he didn't really know what to say to that.

"A whole week straight!" She laughed lightly, more to herself than Levi. She sighed smiling as she composed herself and returned her focus back to Levi

"So, tell me a bit more Levi. How long have you not been sleeping. How many hours a night would you say you get? That type of stuff."

"Err, probably about the last two months or so. I get about 3/4 hours a night." He stopped there, looking up at her as he hesitated on telling her more. "It....it's affecting my school work, and stuff. I feel like I can't switch my thoughts off."

"Right." She nodded and began typing stuff into her computer. Once finished she turned back to Levi smiling.

"I'm not giving you sleeping tablets. I don't think you need them." She stated, causing Levi to sag slightly in disappointment. He couldn't believe he was wasted an hour here.

"What I think you need to solve your problem is to get rid of the thoughts you can't switch off. Dalai Lama once said that 'sleep is the best form of meditation'. What you need to do is talk to someone. Offload your thoughts, feelings, worries. So that when is comes to going to sleep, you feel ready and relaxed. I think the Dalai Lama know what he's talking about." She advised, smiling softly, before quickly frowning again in confusion. "She's talking about? They're talking about? I don't know, the point is stop bottling everything up."

Levi nodded, giving her an awkward smile. He picked up his backpack and stood up, swinging his bag over his shoulder. "Thank you."

"You're welcome Levi. And please, come back if you take my advise and still have trouble." She smiled before going back to her computer. He sighed and walked out of her office, deciding what he needed to do.
