Levi spent the rest of the day mulling over then advice Rosie gave him that afternoon. He managed to get a small text conversation out of Grayson this afternoon, but it didn't last very long, and left Levi wanting more. But he didn't push, he waited. Like he was told too. As he sat watching reruns of Brassic with Lucas and Brooklyn, his mind was Grayson. It always was. He knew that their conversation from yesterday was not finished, but it could wait. He could.

"You never told me what happened with Ruby." Lucas pried, once the ads came onto the tv. Levi stopped himself from rolling his eyes, as Brooklyn gasped, shocked that she had forgotten her gossip, as she kicked up her bed-sock covered feet up onto his lap.

He sent his flatmate a glare, but didn't push her legs off of him lap, instead adjusting so they fit more comfortably.

"Well, you know how it was Edward's, Mason's brother, trial began on Monday?"

"Oh my god, I can't believe that's came around so fast."

"Yeah, well, Ruby had told Mason that she was unsure about testifying. She was just worried that people would think she's being ridiculous or wouldn't believe her."

"Aw, bless her."

"I was talking to Ameerah, and she thinks that Ruby was just looking for a bit of reassurance and support, you know?"

"Of course it's a shitty situation to be in."

Levi was ready to blow his brains out any second. Despite the topic of conversation being interesting, and him thinking that Mason was a prick regardless, he had already heard the full story in work this morning, and was not interested in reliving it.

"Isn't it? So she says to Mason, 'I'm so nervous, I don't think I can look at him again, maybe I won't go.'"

"But guess what Mason says? 'Okay, don't go. Just let me know what you decide so my mum can get my suit ready.'"

Lucas let out a dramatic gasp, just as the doorbell rang, saving Levi from having to sit through the older lad's rant. "What the fuck, how could he be so...."

Lucas' voice faded as Levi got up to answer the door. He slipped on his slides and padded over to the front door. He was surprised to see Grayson and his mum stood there, both with hesitant smiles on their faces.

"Hi." Greeted Levi hesitantly.

"Please can I stay here tonight. I can't sleep." Grayson mumbled, skipping over pleasantries. Levi nodded automatically, as his eyes flicked over Grayson's mum. She looked tired. And as if she was about to cry.

"Night sweetheart. I love you." The weary woman whispered. Grayson kissed his mum on the cheek before pushing passed Levi and walking straight into his bedroom.

"Thank you for letting him stay. It's been nearly a year since he was this bad, and... I just want him to be comfortable as he gets through this." She offered, holding out the duffle bag to Levi, but still holding onto Grayson's blazer.

"He can stay as long as he needs."

"Thank you. There should be everything he needs in that bag, clothes, money, toothbrush, his medications. I wouldn't try to give it to him like he's in a hospital... just remind him in the morning, the same time everyday. His uniform in that bag as well, washed, if he feels like he can go to school. Me or his dad will be back on Tuesday, to bring him home."

"But you have both of our numbers so please, doesn't matter what time, if you need anything call me." Grayson's mum listed off her instructions, and Levi paid careful attention, wanting to get it right.

"I-I really wanted him to stay home. With me. Where I knew he would be safe." The woman admitted, starting to choke up. If possible, Levi began to feel more awkward, but he did feel sympathy for her too. Her own son didn't want to be in her company.

What that how he made his own mum feel?

"But he just couldn't settle and he's been so..... unlike himself for two weeks now. I just want him back."

Levi's mouth dried at the mention of Grayson's manic episode. He couldn't imagine what Grayson's parents felt when they found out he was missing.

"I-I'm sorry by the way. For going with him to that flat.. and smoking and drinking with him."

"Don't worry lovely, you didn't know. However, next time he takes you somewhere nice, ask to see the card he's paying with first." She joked, cracking a small smile. The blonde turned bright red, but nodded, embarrassed at being called out.

"Okay, well I'm going home, I promised his dad I would bring him a Chinese in. Goodnight, Levi." Grayson's mum pulled his boyfriend into a tight hug, surprising Levi.

It had been a rough weekend, and Levi didn't realise how much he needed this hug until now. He squeezed back tightly, relishing in the motherly hug for as long as the women would allow. After a minute or two, she let go, sent him a shaky smile and headed off towards the lift, leaving Levi to comfort his blue eyes boy.
