Levi sat on the grass across from the school gate. He was lost in his thoughts. Thoughts about himself. About school. About how he was going to pay this months rent. About his mum. About that boy. He put his head in his heads, groaning loudly. When had his life become so complicated? He was so lost in himself he didn't here the boy walk up, stopping in front of him.

"Just thought I would give you a heads up, I'm gonna report you and your friend for sexual harassment to the head of sixth form."

Levi's head snapped up, confusion written all over his face, as his favourite blue eyes met his own. He brain had stopped functioning, as he was unable to believe that the boy was talking to him.

"I, uhhh, I- what?" He has not even processed what the boy had said to him.

"You know? For the way he was talking to that girl. And you said nothing, not trying to stop him, so that makes you an accomplice." He sat down next to him, laying is blazer over his stretched out legs.

The boy turned to Levi again, a serious look on his face, "If I was you I'd get my story straight before tomorrow morning. Ms. Harper will probably pull you out off form to expel you right away."

Fuck. He couldn't get expelled. He would definitely have to go to Edinburgh with his dad then. He began to panic, breath picking up, "no please! I didn't do anything I swear! He's like that all the time he's a fucking freak, report him sure! But not me! I-,"

The boys face crumbled as he began to laugh, his arm clutching his waist as he almost fell back. Levi began to relax as the realisation set in. He had a face like thunder as he glowered at him. What a fucking bastard! Levi couldn't believe he actually liked this guy.

"You're a prick." Levi stated, clearly not as amused as him.

The boy composed himself, pulling a joint out of the front pocket of his backpack and holding it out to Levi.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry, that was mean. But to be fair I didn't think you would react like that. Peace offering?"

Levi hesitated before grabbing the joint. He nodded slowly as he rummaged through his own bag for a lighter. Once found he lit up, and took a long drag.

"I fucking needed that," he mumbled. He took another drag before passing it to the boy next to him.

"What's your deal anyway? I don't think I've seen you around he before bruv?" Levi questioned, wanting to know more about the boy.

"I transferred this year. Failed my a levels last year, and this was the only school that would let me resit them in school, as an internal student. Levi snorted as he took the joint once more.

"Sounds about right, this school will let any fucker in."

"Oh, any fucker?" The boy said, amusement written all over his face. Nodded, a smile on his face before he comprehend what he actually said.

"N-no! I-I didn't mean... I meant that..." Levi stuttered trying to come up with an excuse before sigh. "Whatever, yeah. Any fucker."

"Well I appreciate your honesty." He smiled, gently taking the joint out of Levi's hand.

"It's, uhh, it's a cool idea Elle had. Helping younger kids out, it's kind."

Levi snorted, "yeah, that's exactly why she's doing it, to help people. She's truly is the most selfless person I've met to be honest."

The other boy chuckled lightly, the sound, causing goosebumps to rise on Levi's arms. Levi felt the need to cling onto the strange for as long as possible, the strange that made him feel a little less lonely than before. The feeling scared Levi, none had been able to feel like that before. None had been able to warm his cold, lonely soul like this boy had managed to do in the space of 10 minutes. And that terrified Levi. Lost in himself once more, Levi failed to notice the other boys intense stare, his electric blue eyes practically drilling holes into Levi's face. He also failed to notice people leaving the school, including his friends.

"Levi! Leviii! Oi, shithead!"

Levi pulled his head up to see Brooklyn shouting and waving her arms like the crazy person she was.

"Are you coming home with me or what?! Xavier's giving us a lift!" She screamed at him, pointing to her boyfriend's black Mercedes parked up close to the gate.

The bitch always had great timing. Levi scowled as he gathered his things, unable to miss an opportunity to get a lift home. He stood up and dusted off the back of his school trousers.

"So, Levi, ay?" The boy on the ground said, testing out the sound of his name on his tongue.

"I'm Grayson," he smiled. Levi couldn't help but smile back, though it was only small. Although it didn't last long, as the sound of Xavier's horn blared through out the street.

"See you later then, Grayson."
