Levi had been stood outside of Jaxon's classroom for the past 10 minutes waiting to catch him before he went home. He gave Elle and Grace an awkward smile as they walked past him first before Jaxon walked out on his own."Hi." Levi said, catching Jaxon off guard. The latter quickly recovered and gave his best friend a weak smile, clearly feeling awkward himself.
"Hi." Jaxon greeted as they began their walk towards the nearest exit.
"Is everyone still mad at me?" Levi asked hesitantly, blushing lightly. He was ashamed of his actions from the weekend and felt bad for lashing out on his friends.
Jaxon let out a sigh, shaking his head. "Not anymore. I mean, Tommy was a mad in the beginning but he's just hotheaded sometimes. Matty to busy trying to get into Elles pants to care." Jaxon explained.
"And I'm just worried about you man. We all are."
Levi pondered what Jaxon said, nodding as they left the school building. "Okay. I was wondering if we could talk?"
"Come on." Jaxon said, motioning towards the green opposite the school where he first met Grayson. The thought of the blue eyed boy caused a painful pang in Levi's heart and he rubbed his chest subconsciously, as if to ease the pain.
The two boys made themselves comfortable on the green, putting their coats down on the slightly damp grass before sitting on them. Levi opened his bag and pulled out a packet of tangfastics, tossing them to Jaxon.
"Bought you these. To say sorry."
Jaxon smiled, opening the bag and taking one before offering one to Levi who declined. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Well..." Levi started, suddenly regretting his choice to bring it up. "I don't even know where to begin."
He let out a breath, as Jaxon kept eating, letting Levi take his time. "I know you all think that I'm exaggerating the stuff with my parents but, it really is stressing me out. My dads supposed to be coming down next week with his son that I've never met before. My mum is convinced she's better but she was supposed to out by Christmas and she's still in the hospital. I'm always late paying my share of the rent, I feel like I'm constantly in debt with Xavier. I had a bad fight with Lucas, which we're only just getting over. I can't sleep. I can't focus in class. I'm barely scrapping Cs. I-"
Levi cut his rant off. Scared to broach what he really needed to talk about. Jaxon let out a breathy sigh before giving Levi a sad smile.
"Fucking hell. You should've said something Levi. That's a lot to handle at once." Jaxon said, casting him an analytical gaze. Levi hummed in response, looking out over to the school gates, hoping to spot a certain someone.
"That's not all is it." Jaxon mumbled looking into the bag of sweets as he tried to find a certain one.
"No. It's not." Levi said quietly, his voice just above a whisper.
"I- I really like someone. And now they're messing with me." He admitted.
"Ahh. Like, like like?" Jason asked, his eyebrows raised as as Levi nodded.
Who is it? Charlotte?"
"Nah, nah, nah. She's a petty bitch who doesn't have the right to breath the same air as me at the moment." Levi muttered sourly before sighing.
"It's not really a girl." Levi said slowly, having to force the words out of his mouth. Jaxon stopped for a moment before resuming his hunt for a cola bottle. Levi caught the hesitation, and waited with baited breath for his best friend to say something.
"Right. Okay." He nodded. They sat in silence for what felt like forever to Levi but really was only a minute or two.
"It's not me is it?" He asked curiously.
Levi let out a wheezy laugh, shaking his head instantly. "God no. I-I thought I did a while back. But, no."
"I don't know whether to be offended or not." Jaxon said grinning at Levi causing him to laugh lightly.
"Is it someone I know?"
"Eh. Kind of." Levi admitted.
"You know the one who brought over your headphones? His names Grayson."
Jaxon nodded his head, giving Levi a cheeky grin, "Ah. To be fair, if I was gay I'd probably go for him too."
Levi laughed, relief washing over his body. He was so glad that his best friend didn't hate him.
"So. What's going on with him then?" Jaxon asked, causing Levi to smile a little, his mood dropping at the thought of Grayson.
"He keeps messing with me. One minute we're up talking all night, he's sleeping in my fucking bed and talking about introducing me to his parents. The next he's kissing his supposed ex-girlfriend at parties and saying we're going to fast. Then he's sending me drawings and trying to be friends again." Levi ranted.
"He's got my head all over the fucking place. It's why I've been acting so weird lately." Levi added, sighing. Jaxon stayed quiet, absorbing all the information Levi had just given him. Levi's phone buzzed in his blazer pocket. He reached in and grabbed his phone, unknowingly grabbing a piece of paper too. Levi unfolded the paper, anticipating a drawing from Grayson. He opened it up and the first drawing was of Levi smiling, getting his picture taking in front of the Eiffel Tower, with Grayson looking on from the side, a frown on his face. The caption read a 'Levi seeing the world and what not, in Universe #1'.
The next drawing was of Levi and Grayson smiling as they stand in front of the Eiffel Tower, with Grayson's arm wrapped around his shoulder as they got their picture taken. 'Levi and Grayson seeing the the world and what not, in universe #74'. Levi's heart warmed slightly and he was unable to stop the small smile that crept onto his face.
"Well, you can't be chasing him bruv. Same rules that normally apply. You wouldn't chase a girl would you?" He advised, raising his eyebrows.
"No."
"Then he needs to break up with his girlfriend. And you, you need to tell Matty and Thomas."
