Levi had once again been convinced by his friends to go out. After wallowing in self-pity since Monday because Grayson hadn't replied to him, Jaxon was fed up and had decided that they would be going to the 18th of one of his friends in the year above. Due to Jaxon only managing to convince Levi to come last minute, he hadn't really dressed appropriately, only wearing plain blue jeans and a black Adidas shirt with his white air forces.Hosted in a slightly dodgy nightclub in Camden, the nightclub served most of the under age people in attendance. Levi stayed by the bar while Thomas and Jaxon were playing table football against Danny and Mason, and Matty was chatting up Elle. Or at least attempting to. Ruby and Grace had also came to the party, and had been sending Levi worried glances as they whispered back and further to each other all night whilst he drank alone.
Rolling his eyes, Levi picked up his bottle of corona, and moved over to a free fruit machine. After putting a quid into the machine Levi pressed the spin button, but quickly pressed hold. Ruby and Grace approached him as he won his pound back. Putting it into the machine once more, he gave them a side glance before taking a sip of his beer and turning back to his game.
"Hiii!" Greeted Ruby, bumping her shoulder with his.
"Hi." Levi replied, not wanting to be rude.
"How have you been? I feel like we don't see each other at all anymore." Grace said, sending him a smile. Levi sent them both a confused look and put another pound into the fruity.
"That's cause we don't."
"Yeah, this term has been so busy, I can't wait for the end of term next week."
Levi hummed in response to Grace, concentrating on his game as the two girls shared a look.
"So.... Brooklyn told us about what happened with Grayson." Ruby admitted, her sympathetic eyes burning holes into the side of his face. Levi face forward for fear of crying if he looked into them.
"We're so sorry, Lee, it's such a shitty situation." Grace added. Levi shrugged and bent down to collect the twenty pound coins that flew out of the machine. Putting all but one of them in his jeans pocket, Levi put it into the machine before pressing hold, hold and then spin once more.
"Yeah, well... you know the saying, 'life's a bitch, and then you die.'" He muttered in response. Both girls, shared another look, before going in to hug him, one girl either side. Levi froze up for. just a moment in response to the girls' touch before relaxing and hugging them back, wrapping an arm around each of them.
"Ain't that fucking truth." Ruby laughed, resting her head against the arm he had wrapped around her shoulder.
"Can I have a go?" Grace asked nodding toward the fruit machine. Levi nodded and took an awkward sip of his beer.
"Which button do I press?"
"Er.... press hold, spin, and then hold again." Levi instructed, assessing how his first spin went. Following Levi's instructions, Grace pressed the buttons, winning them a further £50. All three friends cheered as the pound coins flew into the tray below the machine.
"You're on a lucky streak tonight Levi!" Ruby grinned, throwing her hands up in the air. Levi snorted, shaking his head. His pockets were suddenly very heavy. He gestured his head towards the bar, causing the girls to follow him.
"What do you want to drink?" He half shouted over the music that was louder by the bar and dance floor.
"Malibu and coke please!"
"Pink gin and lemonade please!"
Ordering the girls' drinks and a round of Coronas for his friends, he paid with the pound coins he had just won, much to the bar tenders annoyance. Levi handed the girls there drinks, giving both a hug, before heading over to the mini football table where his friends were. Danny and Mason were surprisingly bad, getting beaten by Jaxon and Thomas when Levi arrived. Matty had been long abandoned by Elle and stood cheering them on. Levi handed his friends their drinks, and stood next to Matty as he watched the other four play.
