Levi didn't think he could feel more depressed than he did right now. The past two weeks had been fucking torturous. He was already three beers down and not feeling any better. His only cure? To drink more ale of course. In order to keep up appearances he invited the boys round, he couldn't have them knowing what was up. Levi was not paying attention to the conversation, instead looking into his bottle intently, as if in search for the answers to all of his problems.

"I can't believe you hadn't seen that hangover before Matt, it's like the funniest fucking movie!" Thomas laughed.

"It was so fucking great! But I made the mistake of watching it with my parents. They weren't really impressed with all the drug use. And the mild nakedness. And the law breaking." Matty shrugged before taking a gulp of his beer. Jaxon and Thomas laughed in response, however Levi had been silent for most of the night, unable to bring himself to talk. Jaxon has joined in every now and then but stayed quiet, observing Levi.

"You can be such a fucking idiot sometimes bruv."

Levi drained his beer. "Just going to get another one."

He slunk off to the kitchen unaware of Jaxon following him. He got a beer out of the fridge and turned around, almost walking into Jaxon.

"Fucking hell man you nearly killed me off." Levi snapped.

"Im just... I'm worried about you."

"What. Why?" Levi said, leaning against the kitchen counter.

Jaxon gave his best friend a deadpan look, folding his arms. "You barely talk to us anymore. You were just sat there when we're having a conversation staring into space. You snap all the time..."

Levi sighed, starting to feel guilty about his treatment of his friends. "I'm sorry, I'm just... I'm just stressed about school, my mum-"

"Stop Levi. Stop using the same excuses. Talk to me."

"Honestly Jax, I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what unis to look at or what courses, or if they'll even keep me on in year 13. I don't know how to deal with my mum and her long fucking list of problems. Plus, Charlotte is fucking bitching at me 24/7." Levi said, giving Jaxon the half truth. Jaxon softened up a bit, but still gave Levi a look that showed he clearly still didn't believe him.

"So is that it?! Is that what you wanted to here Jaxon. Fucking hell bruv."

Before Jaxon could grill him some more Levi quickly moved into the living room, to find Xavier and Brooklyn talking to Matty and Thomas.

"I thought you two were going out." Levi mumbled to the couple before flopping down into the chair. Brooklyn can Levi a small smile, trying to hide her worry at seeing him drinking again.

"We were just telling the boys about Josh's party tonight. He's Charlotte's older brother you know, so he wouldn't mind you there," Xavier explained. Levi's stomach twisted at the mention of Charlotte who he hadn't spoken to since he ditched her at the restaurant, but hadn't told his friends this rather important piece of information.

"Fuck yes! Levi, text Charlotte now, and let her know we're coming," Thomas demanded, shaking his own phone.

"Nah, I'm not really on speaking terms with Charlotte at the moment." Levi said through gritted teeth, restraining from glaring at Xavier for mentioning it. The boys groaned and gave him a pouty face causing him to role his eyes.

"Oh come on man! You can just work your magic and charm her like you always do!" Thomas whined.

"And you fucking owe me! This will be my night, you can make up for missing my birthday." Matty reasoned, giving him a pointed look. Levi sighed and glanced over to Jaxon who gave him a knowing look. He scowled at him before letting out a dramatic sigh.

"Fine I'll see what I can do. But your sharing your taxi with us." He demanded, pointing his beer in Xavier and Brooklyn's direct.

"And I'm not paying." He muttered before downing his beer.
