Levi had recently been promoted to being able to work on the self scanners. When there's enough people, like today, Brooklyn manages the kiosk, which enabled the two to chat shit as it was usually quiet on a Sunday.

"I can't believe he actually said those things about Elle." Brooklyn laughed.

"He swears blind that they did stuff when he went to hers to talk about the mentor thing. Won't tell us what though." Levi grinned, reorganising the chewing gum display.

"Elle said that he just had some good ideas! I think she's starting to like him too, but is too embarrassed." Brooklyn grinned.

"I don't blame her. But, when you get passed all the intense weirdness, he's an alright kid. A bit dopey, but he's harmless really." Levi laughed, shaking his head. Before Brooklyn could reply, a costumer came up the isle towards the till, paying more attention to the phone in her hand. She made her way to the self service scanner, not paying attention to Levi and Brooklyn who has gone very quiet.

Levi couldn't believe his eyes. Charlotte was stood there scanning her shopping blissfully unaware. Brooklyn and Levi shared a look before Charlotte had a problem with her shopping and the till called for assistance. She looked over to the kiosk, her face immediately souring as she realised who was there. Levi groaned internally and walked over to the scanner, and sorting the problem out.

"I didn't know your worked her. Then again, I clearly didn't know much about you." Charlotte said shortly. Levi blushed lightly but chose not to respond and began walking away. He stood back as the kiosk with Brooklyn and was suddenly more interested in his shoes as Charlotte turned back around.

"I saw you two in school the other day. Sending those soppy, sad looks each other across the corridor. Broken up already? Or maybe you've already cheated on him and decided to move on. Wouldn't fucking surprise me." She snapped.

"You don't know shit about me, that much is true. And I don't think you can lecture me on my morals Charlotte. You called me out for being in the closet in 2020, yet you shoved me out of it. Who the fuck does that Charlotte?" Levi chastised glaring at her. She just huffed and turned back around paying for her shopping before storming out. As soon as she left Levi let out a breath and looked to Brooklyn, who was already staring at him in sympathy.

"Are you okay?" Brooklyn asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just don't want to have to speak to her ever again." Levi mumbled.

"What a fucking bitch." Brooklyn muttered shaking her head as she did so.
