His eyes shone when he smiled. Whenever he gripped the bottle of Fanta lemon in his hand, even with the lightest of grips, the veins that trailed up his arms would pop, or flex slightly. The black hoodie that was tucked under his blazer never looked so good. He tended to run his hands through his inky black hair whenever he was deep in thought or invested in his conversation.

All lunchtime Levi had not been able to take his eyes off of the boy sat on the opposite sides of the common room. He couldn't help himself. He wanted to be able to forget about him, to think and talk about girls the way his friends do, he wanted to notice these details on a girl, to be infatuated with a girl. But he wasn't. And Levi was struggling with that. He couldn't be gay. He couldn't do that to his mum. What would his friends say? Would they leave him? What about the rest of the school?

Levi shook his head, as if shaking that thoughts from his mind. He picked up his sandwich, ignoring the look he received from Jaxon and took a bite.

He looked around the common room, ignoring the pointless conversation his friends were having about the rugby game at the weekend, he much preferred football. The door to the common room opened, catching his eye. In walked Charlotte and her friend from the party. Immediately most eyes turned to them. After all, they were clearly year 11s and this was the sixth form common room. Did it have no sanctity?

Once they spotted Levi, they walked through the common room to his table. Good. This was a great distraction, Charlottes here, who else's matters, right? He smiled to her as she caught his eye, causing her to smile widely back, as she stood in front of him, no space seats available.

"Hi Charlotte."

"Hey! I, um, I just wanted to see if you would come to my party this Friday? To celebrate the start of the half term. It should be cool, my parents are away for the weekend, so we can pretty much do what we want." She smiled, her eyes suggestive. Levi couldn't really think of anything worse, a party full of year 11s downing sourz and drinking WKD and Smirnoff Ice? No, thanks.

He scratched the back of his neck, now unable to meet her gaze. "Err, I don't kn-"

"We'll be there, don't worry" Matty answered for him, causing him to groan internally, as the rest of his friends gave him a 'what the fuck are you doing?' look.

"Yeah?" Charlotte asked, confused by Levi's behaviour.

He quickly gave in, not having the energy to argue. He nodded slowly, forcing a smile onto his face, "of course. See you Friday."

Charlottes face lit up, as her friend rolled her eyes at the girls reaction. Charlotte quickly regained composure and tried to remain calm, nodding her head as well. "Cool.... I'll see you Friday then."

She smiled at him once more before turning and walking out the way she came.

Instantly Thomas shoved him lightly, "What are you doing bruv? You didn't want to go her party? Are you mad?!"

Levi glared back at him, throwing a grape his way as the other two boys chuckled.

"Stop being a grumpy bastard, we're going to that party on Friday, end of."
