Teresa Logan's Smile

*a small chapter to get this storyline going. this can be seen as if it is the start of 'part 2' of this fanfic. don't hate me by the end of this short chapter*

"I mean... we can invite Jay as well," Teresa suggested. "But you like Antonio, right?"

"Yeah, sure. I just usually hang out with him when Jay's around."

"Okay, if you need your comfort person around..." Teresa mocks.

"We can set it up later. Just see when Antonio wants to come and I'll ask Jay if he's free."

"I will."

"You sure you don't need to take anything?" Will asks as they walk outside the apartment building.

"Will, it's just for one night and I'm staying at my house. I'm pretty sure I everything I need for one night there."

Teresa was going to spend the entire Sunday with her brothers, who both had gotten a day off, and she'd stay over the night. 

"I'll be back tomorrow after work," Teresa promises Will.

"If you don't get caught up in a big case."

"I'll call you if I do."

"Okay," Will sighs over-dramatically. "Go on then. Fly away, little bird."

"I'll see you tomorrow," Teresa says holding his hand and pulling him in for a quick kiss.

With his free hand, Will cups her cheek and deepens the kiss.

"All right," Teresa says backing away slightly to look in his eyes. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Can't wait."

"Shut up," Teresa scoffs and looks away. "You see me way too much."

"I like seeing you. It's a feast for the eyes."

Teresa chuckles and covers his face with both her hands, pushing him just slightly back.

"You're too much."

"All for you."

"Fool."

"For you," Will adds.

"Go do something," Teresa says as she starts walking back, facing him for a couple of seconds before turning forward and making sure she didn't go against something or someone.

"Hey, Tez!" Will shouts as he stays in the same spot watching her leave.

Teresa turns sideways to look at him but continues to walk.

"You're gorgeous!"

Teresa rolls her eyes, but smiles. "You're too much, Will Halstead."

"Aren't you going to compliment me?" he jokes with a playful smile lingering on his lips.

"Nope. Your ego is too big as it is. No need to add more wood to that fire."

"I love you!" He shouts, anyway.

Teresa just looks at him with a big smile and shaking her head, still not believing how lucky she was to have this man, this guy who treated her so well, who was so kind and didn't care whatever others might think about him as he shouted that to Teresa.

Will smiled as well, anchored by Teresa's big smile, who extended to her eyes, that had a little spark in them whenever she was genuinely happy.

Little did Will Halstead know that it would be the last time in a very long few months, that he would see Teresa Logan's smile.
