Voight called Teresa early for a crime scene and they arrived together, since it was on the South Side and she was didn't live that far. Voight didn't tell much to her, as he himself wasn't sure of what happened, but near the police and forensics filled area, was Jay.

"Hey." Voight called out and Jay turned. "What's going on?"

Teresa could see that Jay was more shaken up than usual.

"Female victim. Two GSWs—"

"No, Jay." Voight interrupted. "What's going on, meaning, what the hell are you doing here?"

"All right, so I was here, working a CI..."

"What CI?" Voight questioned.

"Camila Vega, from the Veil Club." Jay answers.

"The girl from the kidnapping case?" Teresa asks concern, giving a small step forward. "Luis' sister?"

"News to me." Voight shrugs. "She on paper?"

Jay presses his lips before answering. "No."

"Was the victim at the party?"

"Yeah, I believe so."

"You believe so." Voight repeats clearly upset with Jay. "You've been drinking. Anything else?"

"Just drinking." Jay clears.

"Okay, go back to the office. Don't talk to anyone. Write up your IPR." Voight orders Jay who doesn't wait another second to get out of there. "Okay, work the body. I'll talk to homicide." He says to Teresa.

Teresa glimps back at Jay for a second before quickly getting her gloves and getting to the forensics near the body. She starts asking what they had, which was quickly answered. The victim had no ID or anything to help identify her on her. Teresa quickly checks the victim's pockets and finds out a stash of money, concluding that robbery wasn't the cause of the attack.

When Teresa and Voight went back to the district, Voight went straight to talk with Jay alone. She didn't know what they had talked about but soon enough Jay was going out and meeting with Camila, to work on the case.

Although she hadn't said anything to Voight, Teresa was suspicious of Jay, his reasons and how many times he had met with Camila without anyone knowing about it. And she could see that, without needing to voicing it, Voight had the same concerns.

Teresa started working with Antonio on the district as Adam and Kevin went to the morgue to see what more informations could be collected about the victim.

"You seem tired." Antonio says to Teresa as they quietly try to find out more about the victim and start filling in the board with informations.

"Thank you, Dawson. You look very handsome on this fine day as well."

Antonio chuckles. "You know I didn't mean it like that. Tired or not, you always look beautiful. But you do seem like you need a nap."

"I'm fine, don't worry."

"Are you though? Moving into that nutter house wasn't the best idea. Especially when that man that is supposed to be your father acted the way he did on the day of your brother's funeral."

"Look, I'm a big girl, Antonio. And I appreciate your concern. But if you're worried about that asshole, don't be. He hasn't shown up at the house since that day."

"Good. He should stay away. And if he comes back you should get out."

Teresa agreed, Theodor didn't deserve to be in that house and she deserved more than to be within the same four walls as him. However, she had been the one moving back in.
