Aubrey and Josh were relaxing at his place, both lying tangled up in one another's limbs on his bed, not a care in the world for what was going on anywhere else but where they were. Josh was hesitant to bring up what he desired talking about, but decided that now was a good time as ever.
"Have you ever thought about how annoying it is that we come back and forth between our places but we spend like every night together no matter where we are?" Josh asked, his voice at the sound of a whisper as the room felt too quiet to break the atmosphere.
"I guess I've thought about it before, why?" Aubrey questioned.
"I was thinking, only if it's okay with you of course and you have time to decide if you want. But maybe we could move in together, your place could be nice or we could go somewhere new entirely." He suggested, gauging her reaction to his words.
"What about Kyle?"
"I've already spoken to him about it and he likes the idea, said he can't wait to move in with some of his friends and not be confined because of his brother." Josh explained, reaching out to grab one of her hands. "It's no pressure on you though, only do what you want to do."
"I think it's a good idea for our future, we can figure the details out at a later date though. I'm too tired right now." Aubrey agreed, they didn't often talk about what would happen in the future so having the discussion start now wasn't something that she was going to shy away from. "Speaking of the future, what do you want ours to look like?"
"Happy wife, happy life?" He joked. "No, in all seriousness we live together and one day we get married and have kids and all of that stuff that usually happens. I know not everyone agrees with it but I want all of that."
"So you want kids?" Aubrey asked, she didn't want to make it seem like she was pushing the idea but she was only human and it was no secret that her love for kids was great. It was weird for her to be talking about such grown up things when she felt like she was still a kid as well, she knew that life was going by and she was aging but she could so vividly remember her childhood still and moving past that to thinking about having her own was strange, and beautiful.
"Of course I do, they're adorable and hearing Ads talk about Georgie and seeing other boys with their kids, it makes me realise how much I really want it." He confirmed. "I just don't know when, I used to not know with who either, but I think I have a pretty good idea right about now."
"Good." Aubrey hugged him tighter, they shared more of a conversation about what they wanted in the future and how soon they wanted kids. The talk left Aubrey full of nerves and butterflies, who would have thought that she would be having this discussion so soon.

"Mamma Mia, here we go again." Chloe cheered as she was straightening her hair, Aubrey had just gotten home from school that Friday and it was 4 o'clock, she had then quickly made her way over to Logan's house by 5, giving the girls until about 7 until they would need to be ready so that they could make it to the stadium on time, as planned Ebony had covered for Aubrey saying something along the lines of a family emergency, not that it would be too difficult for people to figure out why she was actually absent.
"I'm excited." Mila grinned, as she was seeing Jamarra play in his first final, unlike the rest of the girls who had been through it the year before, some even before that in 2015, 2016 or 2019 as well.
"Me too, if we win this we're through to a prelim." Logan said, bouncing Lola on her lap as she had just finished plaiting some red, white and blue ribbons into her hair.
"Which will happen." Aubrey pointed out, she felt pretty confident and hoped everyone else did too. "I hope."
"Yeah!" Georgie cheered, unfortunately for Kim, Lara and Rudi who was Tim's girlfriends, who all played for the Firebirds, they failed to make their own finals and were therefore all able to come home and watch the boys hopefully win their own.
