Mila watched her best friend with an amused smile, it was extremely funny to her how Aubrey was lying, her face smashed in her pillow as she squealed into it at the top of her lungs.
"Should I even bother asking you if you're okay?" Mila questioned and Aubrey looked back over her shoulder and rolled her eyes.
"Shut up Mila, you know that I don't know what to do with myself." Aubrey groaned and sat up making room so that her best friend could sit beside her on the bed. "How did I let myself do this?"
"Don't act like it a lot." Mila said and Aubrey glared at her and huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"That's the problem Mil, he makes me really happy. What if I end up depending on him and then he hurts me?" Aubrey asked allowing herself to shed a light on some of the worries that had been swimming endlessly around her mind since the night before. While she had enjoyed herself more then she expected, Aubrey was still a bit scared of giving herself up completely. She noted how much easier it is to be closed off then to open yourself up and be vulnerable to hurt. The overthinking trait seemed to run in the family, both Aubrey and Bailey shared the issue and had spent many nights simply talking through the innerworkings of the world due to the amount of thinking they had done surrounding any matter.
"You'll never know if you never try, also you said that you felt safe when you're with him." Mila pointed out.
"I do, what if it's all an illusion?"
"Stop only thinking negatives and let yourself be happy. You'll always have us to fall back on if something goes wrong." Mila assured Aubrey and Aubrey found herself feeling extremely thankful for the friend that she had by her side. Aubrey and Mila had been through so much together and Aubrey couldn't imagine not having the brunette by her side knocking some sense into her, usually with words but sometimes with slaps if completely necessary.

If people were asked to use one word to describe Bailey they would give a few different answers, whether it was spunky, funny, charismatic, laid back but not many would use the words protective or scary. Well not anyone except for Aubrey, there was a side of Bailey that was simply reserved to stick up for his sister even though she was older then him and could definitely look after herself, he still felt it was his duty to help make sure that he was okay and if that meant that he would try and confront his team mate then he was more then willing to do so.
"What's got you so quiet Baz?" Mitch Wallis asked the boy noticing that he wasn't talking as much as he usually would, which was a lot.
"Just thinking." Bailey replied shortly.
"That sounds pretty dangerous." The older boy chuckled and laughed when Bailey turned to glare at him.
"Do you by any chance know where Dunks is?" Bailey asked and Mitch nodded before getting up to go and retrieve the boy for Bailey who stayed seated where he was even as Josh sat beside him and motioned for him to start talking. "So you and my sister?"
"We would have told you in advance but you said no and I really wanted to take her out, I promise I'm not going to hurt her." Josh put his arms up yet Bailey simply looked unamused by the gesture and not at all assured by his words, team mate or not his sister comes first always. "Bailey just trust me on this."
"I swear to fucking god Josh if you stuff this up I won't be so nice." Bailey spoke. "Got it?"
"Got it." Josh pat Bailey's shoulder and got up happily. "I might be over later."
"Don't be acting all cute and shit around me, for the love of god leave that out of my house." Bailey exclaimed as Josh walked back towards Marcus and Easton whom he was standing with before.
"So Josh is going to be your big brother soon?" Lachie Hunter questioned and smirked at Bailey who was already pretty full of anger, Bailey cracked his knuckles and pushed him lightly.
"Nope, she's too good for him to ever actually be with."
"I'm just saying of all of the guys he's probably one of the guys that I would be most likely to let date my sister." Lachie admitted.
"It's all fun and games to say that but when it's actually happening then maybe, just maybe you'd change your thoughts on that. I don't want any baby Josh's or baby Aubrey's anytime soon."

Bailey whistled as he walked into the house and came face to face with his sister who was sitting on the couch in the middle of watching The Maze Runner, she didn't even look up when he threw his bag onto the ground and sat down beside her, groaning loudly as he did so.
"Aubs, Aubrey, Little, Bree." Bailey repeatedly poked Aubrey's arm until she turned around and slapped him. "Aubreyyyy."
"Bailey piss off, what do you want?" Aubrey asked and paused the movie.
"Attention?" Bailey asked and she laughed at her little brother and then brushed some of his hair back. "We're both so busy these days that we don't spend time together."
"How about tomorrow we spend time together, no devices and no distractions." Aubrey suggested. "Do you have training?"
"I have an open thing at like twelve, you should come watch and then after that we can go to the park that we used to go to. It's only like a half an hour drive." Bailey suggested.
"Sounds good to me."
"Perfect."
The siblings spent the rest of the evening enjoying the movie and when it was finally time for dinner they both raced to the table as they would when they were kids, the competitive spirit that had always been so prevalent between them hadn't dulled a bit over the time that they had been apart or the years that they aged.
