Logan was laughing but calmly sitting on the bed as she watched Aubrey freak out, sifting through her hangers of clothes. Aubrey would let out swear words every now and again as she held clothes against her and shook her head, eventually she got to the end and layed down beside Logan.
"Maybe I'll just text him and tell him that I'm too sick to come. Yeah that sounds like a perfectly good idea." Aubrey nodded and grabbed her phone, opening it to type a message to her boyfriend though it was promptly snatched out of her hand by Logan who was shaking her head.
"You most certainly will not, I'll choose for you while you calm down and stop overthinking this. You've already been told that they're going to love you so I think you just need to chill out." Logan scolded Aubrey and made her way to look through the clothes herself.
"What would I do without you?"
"Chicken out and probably call Josh in tears because of your nerves." Logan replied simply as she grinned.
"That sounds incredibly accurate." Bailey said as he walked in and sat down beside his sister, handing her a glass of orange as she had requested from him about an hour ago.
"Thanks for getting it so quickly." Aubrey drawled sarcastically and drank it as quickly as she could.
"It was my pleasure."
"I think you should wear this, you'll look cute." Logan finally announced holding up a white strapless top and some denim jeans.
"They might think she's showing too much skin." Bailey pointed out, Logan glared at him when Aubrey started to not in agreement.
"Hardly, you're pretty much all covered. Plus it's not to dressy but not too casual. Please just go and get changed before you're late and make a bad impression." Aubrey agreed, somewhat begrudgingly, and went to get changed.

"I promise you, they'll love you." Josh said, one of his hands resting aimlessly on Aubrey's thigh while the other gripped the steering wheel.
"Okay, I can do this." Aubrey assured herself and took a few deep breaths as they pulled up at the familiar house. "Or we could turn around and have dinner at my house."
"Tempting, but also not happening." Josh smiled innocently and before Aubrey could hit him he was out of the car and had walked around to open Aubrey's door for him.
"You're so cute." Aubrey giggled and kissed Josh who was smiling at the compliment before he grabbed her hand and kissed it lightly. "Please just like, don't let go of my hand right now, I need the comfort."
"You got it." He squeezed it gently in reassurance and led them both inside where Aubrey knew the rest of the Dunkley family was waiting.
"Hey Aubs." Lara greeted as she got up to hug her brothers girlfriend. Aubrey greeted her just as enthusiastically but as soon as they pulled away from the embrace her hand was tucked in Josh's. "This is mum and dad, guys this is Aubrey."
"It's so nice to meet you." Lisa had gotten up from her chair and embraced Aubrey politely. "They've all said so much about you."
"It's nice to finally meet you too." Aubrey smiled shyly and then moved to hug Andrew who muttered a few nice words in greeting.
"Are you shaking sweetheart?" Lisa asked as she watched Aubrey take a seat once Josh had pulled it out for her.
"Yeah, I was really nervous to meet you guys." Aubrey let out a breathy laugh as both Andrew and Lisa chuckled.
"Don't worry about it, we're a pretty dysfunctional family and by the sounds of it you'll fit right in. Plus we haven't met a girlfriend of Josh's for years so the expectations aren't very high." Andrew smiled as Josh rolled his eyes.
"She's definitely out of his league." Lara chimed in and they all muttered an agreement that made Aubrey elbow Josh and smile triumphantly. "Don't be mad Joshy, she's just really pretty and you're not."
"I know that, just because it's true doesn't mean you have to say it."
"I think you're pretty." Aubrey said but she couldn't keep a straight face as she laughed at her boyfriend. "Now I know where you got the good genes from."
"I'll take credit for that." Andrew said.
"No that's all me. I love what you're wearing by the way," Lisa pointed out and Kyle smirked from his seat at the table.
"If only you knew how long it took her to pick it out."
"And how would you know?" Aubrey asked.
"Bailey, of course."
"That little shit."

Aubrey, Lara and Lisa were all sitting in the lounge chatting as the boys were in the dining room doing whatever they were doing. Most likely talking about footy as it was a big part of all of their lives and had been for a very long time.
"You seem to treat Josh well. I can tell he looks really happy around you, so thank you." Lisa spoke up and Aubrey's cheeks flushed at the complement, though her smile widened as well.
"I do my best, he's really good at making me happy. I just try and do the same for him." Aubrey smiled as she caught a glimpse of him laughing through the doorway. Josh felt her eyes on him and turned to wave at her which Aubrey returned before turning her attention back on the Dunkley girls.
"See what I mean, I told you that they can get sickeningly cute." Lara pointed out, muttering to her mum.
"That's not even that bad. You should just be glad we aren't all over each other, sometimes Bailey and Tara get like that. It's not exactly how I want to see my baby brother." Aubrey shuddered dramatically at all of the scarring memories that she had tried to bury down as for as she could. "So you think I can keep dating Josh?"
"Oh I don't think that'll be an issue at all."
