Aubrey was sitting just outside the cafe waiting for Mila, Logan and Chloe as they all planned to have brunch together. Aubrey had met the girls about two weeks ago and as the weather was lovely for a February morning and as the preseason was very much underway for the boys, they had a lot of free time.

"Aubs!" Logan called out as her and Lola made their way to sit at the table. "How are you?"

"Good, good. How're you?" Aubrey replied and picked up Lola who pushed her hands out to motion that she wanted a cuddle from the Smith girl.

"Very tired, Lola decided that she didn't want to sleep at all last night." Logan jokingly glared at her daughter who was too busy twirling some of Aubrey's blonde hair around her finger to take any sort of notice of the negative glance.

"The joys of being a mum, I can imagine." Aubrey chuckled and Logan rolled her eyes though there was no malice behind the gesture.

"You have no idea." Logan shook her head and the conversation halted as the two other girl arrived only a few minutes after one another, Mila was introduced by Aubrey and they were all getting along like a house on fire.

"So has anybody caught your eye around the club?" Chloe questioned and smirked at Aubrey, she had been to Whitten Oval a couple times after the first day but had very little interaction between people, only really talking to Bailey and one of his closest friends Laith.

"Someone sure has." Mila replied for her best friend and got a slap from Aubrey. "Don't hit me, it's the truth."

"Well, who is it?" Logan motioned for the girl to continue.

"I said that one person was cute," Aubrey defended herself. "A lot of people are nice to look at, doesn't mean I have to like them."

"Fair enough," Logan nodded and the conversation was dropped, their wasn't really much to talk about.

Bailey jumped on Aubrey as she lay down on the couch in the living room, the morning had seemingly taken a toll on the girl who looked very close to falling asleep before she was interrupted by the pest that she called her little brother.

"Bailey fuck offfff." Aubrey complained and pushed him so that he fell of the couch, only to be pulled down with him.

"I just missed you so much and I have to let you know that some of the boys are coming over for dinner." Bailey informed his sister who nodded at the information. "So maybe, you know...get changed."

"Bro, I look fine." Aubrey rolled her eyes as Bailey made a sound to show that he was unsure about the statement that she had just made. "Whatever, I'll go get changed then."

"They'll be here around six thirty," Bailey exclaimed as Aubrey started to walk to her room. "You have to help mum cook for them!"

"You can do it!" Aubrey called back in frustration, she just wanted to relax for the evening.
"I kind of want them to survive."

Aubrey and Sinead were listening to music as they often did when they were cooking together, they were just going to have a homemade chicken pie that just so happened to be both Bailey and Aubrey's favourite meal since they were younger, still being the case as they grew older.

"The boys are here!" Bailey called after he pulled open the front door and both Sinead and Aubrey heard voices break the previous silence that had filled the house.

"Dinner will be ready in about ten minutes!" Aubrey replied to her brother and checked the oven to see how the pie was going. "You have to set the table!"

"Can't you do it?" Bailey complained and Aubrey rolled her eyes. "I'll set it for the next week."

"Deal."

Sinead had just called out for everyone to eat dinner and Aubrey had finished setting the table, the four boys walked into the room and grabbed their plates before taking seats at the table.

"Aubrey hurry up!" Bailey yelled and she ran down and grabbed her plate, she was about to sit in her seat but saw that it was occupied by none other then Josh Dunkley.

"I have an issue with this arrangement." Aubrey spoke and everyone looked over at her waiting for her to continue. "You're in my seat."

"I am the guest." Josh raised an eyebrow in amusement when Aubrey shook her head at him. "You don't think so?"

"I just don't think that your guest status allows you to occupy this chair. It's been mine since I could walk." Aubrey pointed out. "As much as I'd love to be able to just let you sit there, it belongs to me and there are plenty of other perfectly functioning chairs you could use."

"I've sat here before."

"You guys let someone sit in my seat while I was away?" Aubrey asked offended and looked at her family members for some answers.

"Aubs, you're 23." Bailey pointed out.

"And this has been my seat for 23 years, that's not about to change now."

"Fair enough." Josh moves his plate and sat in the seat to the right of the one that Aubrey claimed as her own. "Bonti can you pass me the salad?"

"No, I don't think I can." The Italian joked and handed the bowl to Josh. "Thank you for such a beautiful dinner again."

"You're all welcome here anytime." Sinead smiled at the boys. "Though today the cooking was mostly done by Aubrey."

"You can tell." Bailey smirked at his sister who threw one of the apples from the fruit bowl at her brother. "You're so immature."

"Says you!" Aubrey glared at her brother as all of the boys watched the siblings in amusement.

"Stop throwing the fruit, last time this happened Baz ended up with a bruised eye."
