Logan, Lola and Aubrey were all congregated in the Johannisen household as they met up to catch up as they hadn't in a while. It was the beginning of the bye week and as pretty much all of the boys and their families or partners were going away in a few days they decided that there would be no better time to catch up, that and Aubrey really wanted to see baby Lola again.

"Are you going anywhere this weekend?" Logan questioned as she made herself a coffee, desperately needing the caffeine after the little sleep she had gotten the night before.

"Not sure yet, I might go with Bailey unless I get told otherwise. Or I could stay home and have some me time." Aubrey shrugged and adjusted Lola who giggled at the faces that Aubrey was pulling. "Hi precious, you doing okay?"

"She won't reply to you." Logan pointed out.

"No shit sherlock. Wait I didn't mean to swear." Aubrey pushed a hand over her mouth when she met Logan's warning look.

"What're you doing here?" Jason walked into the house and kissed Logan's cheek in greeting.

"Hey JJ." Aubrey greeted and moved Lola's hand so that it looked like the little girl was waving at her dad. "Just chatting before everybody leaves me at home."

"Josh didn't invite you anywhere?"

"Mmmm, not yet. I think I'll just spend the week with Mila."

"Isn't Mila going away with her new boy toy?" Logan questioned, confusing Aubrey. She hadn't heard anything about the boy that supposedly everyone else knew about.

"Not sure, I better get home before Bailey starves and doesn't eat any lunch, god knows that kid doesn't do anything for himself. Other then make chicken and rice." Aubrey smiled though it was obvious that it didn't reach her eyes as she kissed Lola's cheek and handed her over to JJ.

"See you later alligator." JJ waved and Logan and Aubrey said goodbye before the younger girl left the house feeling rejected and out of the loop.

As soon as she reached her car, Aubrey pressed on Mila's contact name and almost instantly she picked up.

"Hey Mils, what're your plans for the week?" Aubrey questioned keeping her tone as friendly as it possibly could be, at this point she didn't have anything to be angry about...yet.

"I'm uh going away with my friend." Mila said nervously and she made eye contact with Daniel and grimaced. It wasn't that she was keeping a secret from Aubrey, they were simply drifting. "What about you?"

"Oh yeah, sounds good. I'm not too sure what's going on." Aubrey replied and rolled her eyes, she didn't want to be dramatic or anything but it hurt her that her supposed best friend hadn't told her anything about her life recently.

"Well let me know, I have to go though. I'll talk to you later Aubs."

"Yeah, love you Mila."

"Love you too."

Bailey and Aubrey were chilling as some music played through the music channel on the TV. Aubrey had in fact made the boy his lunch, a simple omelette with some salad, as well as making herself a serve of the meal as well.

"Do you ever feel like you're drifting from somebody and you don't know how to stop it?" Aubrey asked her brother. It was different when she drifted with some of her friends from school, they hadn't been sisters like she felt her and Mila were.

"Trust me, a lot." Bailey had experienced it back when he got drafted, it had at first been daunting that he was spending all of this time with new people and rather quickly losing contact with the people that he used to be around daily. "You just learn that it's not necessary a bad thing, the people that need to be by your side will be and drifting can just mean that you don't need that person in your life anymore."

"I don't want to lose her." Aubrey said as she took a deep breath to calm herself down, there was no need for tears and she wouldn't let herself get emotional about something that she could very possible be overthinking.

"You'll never lose the memories Aubs. It could be years from now and your password might still have her birthday numbers on the end and that's okay. Don't beat yourself up over it, sometimes it's better to just let it all go and think about yourself first."

"When did you get so wise?" Bailey laughed at the question and shook his head. 

"I learnt a few things whilst you were gone, it wasn't always the easiest experience in the world."
