"I come bearing bacon and eggs for her highness." Aubrey got a flash as the lights came on and she squinted seeing Pat walking in with a plate holding a roll with a bread roll sitting on top. The scent of bacon and eggs filling her nostrils and she smiled gratefully, sitting up very slowly and making grabby hands at the boy. He chuckled and handed it to her, sitting down on the end of the bed and watching her.

"You are my absolute favourite person ever." Aubrey laughed as she took the plate from Pat. "Is Chloe okay?"

"Hungover as fuck, but she'll survive." Pat said laughing as Aubrey took a bite in a way that most would describe to be 'unlady like' not that she cared. "How are you doing?"

"I'm still processing." Aubrey admitted. "Do you by any chance know where my phone is, I feel like its time I called Josh and updated him."

"No, but you can use mine and I'll find yours with Chloe's phone." Pat said pulling his out of the pocket in his pants and handing it over. "I'll be up as soon as possible."

"Thanks." Aubrey smiled as he left the room and searched for Josh's contact name. She found it and pressed on it, waiting to hear the sound of her lovely boyfriend.

"Pat, what's up brother?" Josh's groggy voice came through the phone. "Did everyone behave last night? Do I need to come haul Aubrey's ass back home?"

"Okay first of all fuck you Dunkley, and second of all I do need you to come here. We have much to discuss man." Aubrey laughed.

"Heeeeey babe, I'll be there soon. Is everything okay or should I be worried and pack a few knifes?" Josh joked, though Aubrey believed that maybe he wouldn't be a few moments after they spoke.

"Okay, see you soon." Aubrey blew a kiss to him and hung up, quickly glancing when she saw a cute picture of Pat and Chloe as his background. She genuinely couldn't help letting out an audible awww.

"You tell him?" Pat asked as Aubrey walked downstairs wrapped in a blanket that was in the spare room. Aubrey handed him his phone back to which he said a quick thanks.

"Nope, but he's on his way now. If Chlo is mobile by the time he gets here she can listen to." Aubrey said and Pat nodded. "Go wake her up and good luck doing it."

"I'll need it, that's for sure." Pat joked, turning away to start walking up the stairs before hesitating. "Also help yourself to whatever you want to eat." He looked back at Aubrey to see her eating a donut already.

"You don't have to tell me twice, or once apparently." Aubrey grinned and Pat shook his head as he caught two donuts that she threw at him for both himself and Chloe. "Now goooo."

Aubrey was situated on the couch with Chloe's head resting in her lap as Pat walked around cleaning up any mess that was made by the group of girls the night before. He seemed more then okay with cleaning up, maybe he was a clean freak like Josh too.

"What are we doing here?" Chloe asked, holding her water bottle close to her and taking sips every few minutes. "I could be in bed."

"We're waiting for Josh to get here." Pat explained and right on cue there was a knock on the front door, Aubrey would have gotten up but she knew that Chloe would complain about the sudden movements. "I got it!"

"Hey dude." Pat pulled Josh in for a hug and after a few more words were exchanged they made their way into the living room. "Joshua is here."

"Hey." Josh kissed Aubrey's forehead and sat down on laughing at Chloe who was getting her hair gently braided by Aubrey who had convinced her to sit up. "What's up?"

"We have much to discuss." Aubrey said cryptically.

"What's going on?" Josh questioned, he and Chloe shared a confused look as Pat bought along some food and placed it on the table, motioning for everyone to eat if they wanted to. No one took anything. Both Josh and Chloe watching Aubrey expectantly.

"Last night when everyone else was smashed, Eb spoke to me thinking that I was Logan and told me that she told the media everything because of some things that I supposedly did." Aubrey explained. "She said that I had ruined a few good things going on in her life and so she felt like she had to tell them."

"That's fucked, why did you let her leave?" Josh asked as he frowned, processing the new information. "Why didn't you call me?"

"I knew you were having a good time with your family and I didn't want to ruin that. Plus I had Pat to talk to who was sober unlike Chloe." Aubrey joked.

"Sorry 'bout that." Chloe chuckled nervously. "Although fuck her, I thought you guys were getting along. When we started talking again all that time ago after we lost contact for a little bit you said that she was like your lifeline."

"I thought so, I'm honestly just really confused about that. Maybe she didn't actually mean to, she could have been having a bad day. Or week." Aubrey shrugged. "I'm not ready to give up on her."

"You're too trusting Aubs, I love that you want to see the best in people but sometimes the people you're trying to find the best in just aren't doing anything to benefit you." Josh said softly. "You don't have to stick up for someone who caused you so much pain, who caused us so much pain."

"You don't know her like I do." Aubrey continued to deny.

"Maybe not, but we know what she did to you." Aubrey sighed at Chloe's comments, messing around with her ring on her finger. "We want you to be safe and she's not helping you out in the journey of life. You're not going to look back on this time and think about how good she was to you. You're going to look back and kick yourself for how you're reacting right now."

"You don't even have to say anything to her." Josh said smiling. "You can choose to just erase her from your life."

"But she helped me, a lot."

"Now we'll help you, she was right for that part of your life and she was a really amazing part of it. Just because you outgrow the need for someone doesn't mean that the separation needs to be nasty. As bad as it sounds we all surpass the necessity for certain people." Chloe said, it was advice that ways seemed to help her when she felt as if she was drifting away from people that she used to hold very dear to her.

"I'll hold out until the end of the year at school and then reassess from there." Aubrey gave in, she knew that she would need to think harder about it but getting people off her back now would at least give her a bit of air to breathe and really consider everything.

"If you ever need a day off you can always say you're sick." Josh suggested. There was nothing wrong with pulling a sickie in his opinion.

"Very funny, I'm sure I'll survive."
