Aubrey finally felt as if she had her life together, she was working full time, okay with being alone and had moved out of her family home once again to move in with Mila. Mila who had broken up with her boyfriend from the past and had become much more present in the life of her best friend once again.
Aubrey was lucky enough to be able to therefore distance herself from the club which she had previously found herself becoming very fond of. With Mila by her side, she felt as if she could fall back into similar patterns that had pushed her through life before.

"I think we should go out tonight, have some fun before the school year starts and we all get really busy." Mila suggested, the two girls were sitting on the balcony of their apartment and looking out towards the road.
"I think it's a good idea, only if you convince that new guy of yours to come and meet us. You haven't told me jack shit about him." Aubrey bargained, she knew that Mila was talking to a boy and that it was getting serious. There was always talking for one of the girls, it was only ever a big deal when it got serious.
"As much as I'd love to do that, he's busy and I don't think you'd like to meet him. You might not like him or things about him." Mila denied. She didn't want to show Aubrey that the new boy had many connections to people that Aubrey had desperately and effectively punched out of her life not too many months ago.
"Please, I'll do anything to meet him. As long as it's not Bailey then I really don't care." There was truth to that statement, but both girls knew that there were people that Aubrey would prefer Mila to stay away from.
"He won't even be able to drink or have fun anyways, I think we should have some fun just us. Maybe a few of the other girls if they want to come at all."
"Fine, better get to texting."
