Goldilocks walked through Storybrooke, looking at her surroundings and scanning the list several more times.

The one person she was looking for. He had told her he would be in Storybrooke, and he would pretend to be a citizen there until she arrived. But why wasn't his name on the list? Surely he would have created a secret name whilst he was in Storybrooke. Unless he was hiding, not wanting anyone to know he was there...

But then where would he be? Goldilocks was pretty sure she was lost by now, not to mention she knew nobody here, and didn't know her way around.

She absentmindedly fiddled with the whistle on her necklace, before an idea struck her. It had been quite a while since she tried it, so she hoped it still worked. She lifted the whistle to her lips and blew.

No sound came out, and Goldilocks was puzzled for a few seconds, before remembering she had enchanted it that way. She waited a for little while, looking all around her and listening carefully.

Finally she heard the sound of scrapping and scurrying on the road, and suddenly a Dalmatian dog ran around the corner and bounded it's way to Goldilocks. The dog jumped into Goldilocks and she fell down.

"Whoa, whoa Perdita!" Goldilocks laughed, and she managed to prise the dog off her stomach and stand up. Perdita, the Dalmatian, sat down by Goldilocks's feet and wagged her tail excitedly, panting heavily.

Goldilocks reached down and patted her dog's head. "You okay girl?"

Perdita barked loudly.

"Shhh!!" Goldilocks crouched down. "Shhh, girl. It's okay. I'm sorry it's been so long... Now, I have a little task for you."

Goldilocks was pretty sure she saw Perdita roll her black eyes, and hear her groan.

Goldilocks rolled her eyes too. "Yes, I know that I'm getting you to work as soon as you arrived and that shadow travel is exhausting for you. But the quicker we find him the quicker everything gets sorted out."

A little while before, Goldilocks had enchanted the whistle, so whenever she blew it Perdita would know where she was, and absorb into the nearest shadow so they could meet. Teaching Perdita to travel through the shadows was the hardest part, and it normally was exhausting, but they had finally gotten the hand of it.

Goldilocks rubbed Perdita's head to call the Dalmatian down. "I'm afraid I don't actually have anything of his, do you still have his scent?"

Perdita tilted her head and sniffed the air for a moment or two. She stood up and looked around for a minute, before finally plodding off down the street. Goldilocks followed, staying a few metres behind to let Perdita work.

Perdita suddenly stopped walking, lifted her head and listened carefully. Goldilocks stopped walking too, watching Perdita, holding her breath. Perdita looked around quickly, and barked loudly.

"Shhh!!" Goldilocks hushed, but Perdita kept on barking and barking, and didn't stop.

"Are you trying to wake everyone up!?" Goldilocks hissed, running over to Perdita.

Perdita, however, just kept on barking.

"If you have figured out where he is can't you just lead me there?" Goldilocks sighed.

Perdita stopped barking, listened for a few seconds, and then ran. The Dalmatian dog ran down the street and turned at the left corner.

"Oh great, that's all I need," Goldilocks muttered, running a hand threw her hair, sighing, and then following her dog into the depths of the town...
