Even if she didn't show it, Goldilocks was still hurt about Peter, and she didn't even get the chance to say goodbye. She felt like she had betrayed him, by staying a mermaid and not going back to Neverland sooner. She shouldn't have even turned into a mermaid inn the first place!! She should have stayed in Neverland with him. She didn't even know what had happened to any of The Lost Boys!

Goldilocks didn't really have feelings Peter Pan anymore, but she missed him dearly. She had asked Dr Hopper, her new father, if she could have the day off school, and he presumed she was still worked up from her past and everything that had happened, so he agreed.

Goldilocks decided to clear her head by going on a little walk to the beach. She didn't take Pongo or Perdita. This was her time to think, and clear her mind. That day she was dressed in red jeans and a simple caramel coloured hoodie.

When Goldilocks got to he beach she chose to walk along the docks first. She saw Captain Hook's ship out at sea, a few feet away from the docks. Goldilocks could just make out Captain Hook and Emma aboard The Jolly Rodger.

Goldilocks stood by the metal rail that acted like a barrier for the water, and rested her arms on the metal railing, and glanced at the sea for a while. Just standing there made her feel slightly calmer. She took a few deep breaths and lightly tapped her feet together. She even created a small fireball and let it dance on top of her finger tips.

Just then she heard the sound of footsteps. Goldilocks quickly extinguished the flame with a thought and looked behind her. Henry was walking towards her. He was wearing his school uniform: a navy sweatshirt with the school logo of a white shield with the picture of an opened book in the centre, and black trousers and black polished shoes. Henry also had his backpack on.

Goldilocks smiled. "Hi Henry," she smiled.

"Hiya Goldilocks," he replied, and stood next to her, leaning against the railing. "How come you weren't at school today? I was alone in maths! And English! And every other lesson!"

Goldilocks laughed. "Sorry. I just didn't feel like going."

"Are you still thinking about Peter?" Henry asked.

Goldilocks looked back at The Jolly Rodger. "Maybe," she replied.

"You can't blame yourself for what happened," Henry told her for the one hundredth time.

Goldilocks closed her eyes and exhaled. "I know."

Henry looked at her. "You're still blaming yourself, aren't you?" He asked.

Goldilocks opened her eyes turned to face Henry. "It's just - if I hadn't spent so long being a mermaid - maybe if I hadn't even become a mermaid in the first place - maybe I could have talked to him and stopped him from trying to harm Storybrooke!"

Henry was silent for a few moments. "You still had no idea what he was planning - "

"He told me in his letter that he was going to make Storybrooke the new Neverland, I had no idea how he was planning on doing that! But if I was here sooner - "

"Goldilocks," Henry said firmly. "What he didn't wasn't your fault. I can see why you think it is, but you had no control over what Peter Pan did! What he did was his choice."

"But - " Goldilocks began, but Henry cut her off.

"You can't dwell in the past," he told her. "If you stay in the past too long, you may forget all about focusing on the present."

Goldilocks paused for a moment. "Yes," she nodded. "I agree. Sorry."

"Why, do you still - like him?" Henry asked, who p emphasising on the 'like'.

Goldilocks shook her head. "I just had a crush on him so badly, but after a while, when I came to Storybrooke, and time went on, I kind of realised it might never have even happened..."

"Speaking of time going on," Henry smiled. "Happy Birthday! Sixteen, right?"

Goldilocks knew it was her birthday, but she didn't want anyone else to know, because they'd spend too much time fussing over gifts and a party.

"How did you know that?" She asked slowly.

"My mom - Regina, told me," Henry said, a mischievous smile plastered on his face.

"Are you joking?" Goldilocks rolled her eyes.

"Nope, she says she would have got you a present, but she hasn't really had the time, due to everything that's happened and stuff - "

"Yeah, I don't really want any gifts," Goldilocks shrugged.

"I would have got you a present as well," Henry carried on. "But I only found out about your birthday this morning, and I've been at school, so I couldn't go buy you one. I would have gotten everyone in our class to sing 'Happy Birthday' to you!"

"Really!?" Goldilocks covered her face with her hands.

Henry grinned. "Yeah. You're sixteen now, aren't you?"

Goldilocks uncovered her face. "Yep" She smiled. "It's weird to think I should be the same age as Regina."

Henry nodded. "It's crazy isn't? And I'm sorry for not getting you a birthday present," he said again.

"Don't worry about it-" Goldilocks shrugged. "I never really think too much about birthdays anyway."

"Maybe this could make up for not getting you a present," Henry said. Goldilocks looked at him, but before she had time to register what was going on, Henry grabbed her arms and lent in and pressed his lips against hers. His lips were warm, and he smelled lightly of cinnamon.

The kiss only lasted five seconds, and once Henry pulled him away he grinned and said: "See you later."

And he ran off, leaving Goldilocks confused, shocked, and dumbfounded by the kiss...
