Regina sat in her office, strumming her fingers absentmindedly on the desk as she waited patiently. After a few moments of silence she heard a car pull up outside. It was Dr Hopper, who had just dropped off Henry and Goldilocks. Regina stood up when she heard the door open, and a few moments later Goldilocks and Henry walked through the door.
"Hi mom," Henry said.
"Hi honey, hi Goldilocks."
Goldilocks smiled kindly. "Hey Regina." Goldilocks walked to the desk.
"Are you okay? You sounded a little bit worried when you called Emma," Henry said.
Goldilocks and Dr Hopper had just been at Mary Margaret's and David's apartment, running through the adoption papers, but after about half an hour Regina phoned Emma and asked if Goldilocks could go down to her office, and if Henry could go too (as Henry had spent the previous night at Emma's).
"Yes I'm fine thank you. Henry, do you have your book?" Regina asked.
Henry grinned, knowing exactly what Regina was going to do, and he took his backpack off and unzipped it.
" 'Does he have his book' ?" Goldilocks repeated. "Regina, he always has his book with him! At school when he has free time he is always looking through that book!"
Henry handed his adoptive mother the book. Regina took it off him and walked over to the fire place. Goldilocks followed her.
"What are we doing?" Goldilocks asked Regina.
"Well, you know about Henry's book don't you? And that it contains all the stories?" Regina bent down and examined the fire.
"Yeah," Goldilocks sat down next to Regina. "Why?"
"Well I was mad, and upset because you disappeared. My mother told me you were dead - " Regina paused for a moment before continuing. " - so to spare me some heart ache, I ripped out thee pages about us. Us as children."
Goldilocks raised an eyebrow. "... Lovely..." Goldilocks said.
"And now I've decided that I'm going to retrieve them, for you - for us," Regina said.
Goldilocks nodded, stood up and took a step back. Regina waved her hand over the unlit fire, and small specks of ash arose. More ash appeared and it all gathered together until it was a thin rectangle, the size of a page in Henry's book.
Regina clicked her fingers, and suddenly the ash all stuck together, and began to change it colour. It grew paler and paler until it was a the same shade of brown as the pages of Henry's book. Then Regina flicked her wrist and suddenly a picture picture faded onto the page, until it was solid. Also the page began to re-write itself, the words slowly spiraling onto the page from left to write.
After about three minutes the page was finished, suspended in the air. Regina took hold of it, and smiled. Then she turned around to face Henry and Goldilocks.
"... That... Was... Awesome..." Henry whispered.
"Want to do the honors?" Regina held out the page. Goldilocks grinned and took the page off Regina. Goldilocks knelt down next to the book, and Regina turned to the right place. Goldilocks slotted the page in place and ran her finger gently down the binding, and the page shone a bright yellow. Once Goldilocks had finished the bright light disappeared and the page went back to normal. Henry knelt down next to her, grabbed the page and lightly tugged at it. The page didn't move.
Regina, Henry and Goldilocks smiled. The pages had been fitted into the story. The book was restored.
