Q) When did you think of this fanfiction?
A) 2014, maybe about August. I was watching season 3 for the first time and I watched the grand finale with Elsa, and I loved it! So then I thought to myself, 'What if I came up with the idea of why Elsa is in Storybrooke?' However I then discovered that season 4 was premiering that September, so I thought 'Oh, okay then. Let's think of another idea!' And low and behold this fanfiction was created!!

Q) How did you come up with the idea for the fanfiction?
A) I simply thought to myself 'Which fairytale character have we not yet seen in Storybrooke?' And the first that came to mind was Goldilocks. I re-watched all the OUAT episodes, just to make sure we had never seen her, and then I got to work!

Q) How did you think of such a complex plot?
A) I wanted to write about Regina as a child, and I thought maybe I should include Goldilocks in her past. But I still wanted Goldilocks to be a child in Storybrooke, so I had to think 'Where could Goldilocks go where she could stay young?' And the first idea that popped into my head was Neverland. That's how Peter Pan came into the story. Then after watching the first Queens of Darkness episode I instantly fell in love with Cruella and her sass, so I just had to find a way to include her too, and then I realised Merida could be included, because Goldilocks and Merida are both linked with bears, and then somehow Rodger was added in...
(I picked the names Rodger and Anita for Goldilocks's parents, as the are the names of the couple who own the Dalmatians in the film 101 Dalmatians)

Q) Why did you set the story two years after season 4?
A) Because I wanted Henry to be slightly older, and more mature before he got into a relationship with Goldilocks. It was a pain waiting until season 4 had finished, just in case a character died or I had to include an explanation to something that happened in season 4 (Like Cruella's death)
I then published the fanfiction slowly, and after watching season 5 I went back through my fanfiction and had to add more detail, like how Cruella was in Storybrooke, how Merida was a bear statue and a character in the actual TV show, Robin's death, and a little more.

Q) Why did you cut Merida out but then add her back in?
A) Simple: because I couldn't think of a plot! I wanted to add Merida into the story, as Merida's and Goldilocks's stories both have bears in them. But unfortunately I couldn't think of a simple plot without having a whole load of questions in my head! So Merida was cut, but later on I asked my friend if she thought Merida should be added in, and obviously she said yes! She came up with the idea of the bear statue, but I came up with Cruella's little back story and her involvement with Merida.

A) I have already wrote another fanfiction, about Rumbelle, which I came up with about four months ago. Let me know if you think it should be published, no spoilers yet though!!!
