The bear growled in pain at Regina's action, and everyone, including Goldilocks, took a step back. Regina then removed her hand from the bears chest and stood up.
"So she has her heart back?" Mary Margaret asked.
"And now all we do is wait," Emma said.
"This should be fun," Henry said, slightly sarcastically.
David stood up as well, and just as he did, a silver light circled around the bear, and the light shone so brightly everyone had to look away, or shield their eyes with their hands.
When the light had faded everyone turned back, and the bear had been replaced with a sixteen year old girl, with frizzy ginger hair in several ringlets, and wearing a dark teal dress with several rips.
"The real Merida," Henry whispered.
Goldilocks knelt down. "Merida?" Goldilocks lightly shook her cousin.
Merida lay still. She didn't look like she was breathing. Goldilocks closed her eyes, a single tear fell down her cheek. "Merida, please -"
Suddenly Merida's eyes fluttered open, and she sat up, gasping for air. Goldilocks jumped back.
"Merida?" She asked.
Merida took a deep breath, and looked to her side. "Hi Goldilocks," Merida smiled.
Goldilocks laughed, and pulled her cousin into a massive hug. "I thought you were going to die!"
"Honestly, for a minute there so did I," Merida said.
Goldilocks smiled at her cousin. "I had no idea if I'd ever see you again!"
"Well, I guess you're stuck with me for a little longer, before I go get myself into anymore trouble," Merida said in her Scottish accent, whilst carefully pushing her cousin off her. "Sorry, but you're crushing me."
"Oops, sorry." Goldilocks stood up and held out her hands. Merida grabbed hold of them and Goldilocks pulled her cousin from the ground.
"Hold on, aren't you twelve?" Merida asked, after noticing how tall her younger cousin was.
"No, I'm actually sixteen right now," Goldilocks replied.
"What!? No, I'm sixteen, there's three years between us, but it hasn't been you birthday yet - " Merida looked around her. "Wow, did The Enchanted Forest get some upgrades?"
Goldilocks laughed. "We're no where near The Enchanted Forest. This is a town called Storybrooke."
"And who are all these?" Merida noticed Emma, Regina and everyone else.
"Ahh, Merida, this is Dr Hopper. My dad," Goldilocks presented Dr Hopper.
"Your dad?" Merida asked, shaking Dr Hoppers hand. "Isn't your Dad - you know - " she didn't want to say the word 'dead'.
"Well, I adopted Goldilocks a few weeks ago," Dr Hopper answered.
Merida nodded. "Well, it's nice to meet you."
"This is Emma, and her parents Mary Margaret and David."
"Wait, parents!? You guys look the same age! How is that possible?" Merida asked.
"It's kind of a long story," Mary Margaret and David replied.
"We'd love to explain it to you, but I think it may take a while," Emma shrugged.
"No way, is that Regina!?" Merida's eyes scanned the rest of the group and fell on Regina.
"Yes, please talk about me as if I'm not here," Regina replied.
