Anita paced around her small cottage, twisting her fingers around each other, irritation showing on her face.
Finally, she decided to head over to the mantel. She reached into a small white China pot with light blue flowers decorated on it. She pulled out a small rolled up letter. The sat down by the fire, and she unrolled the letter and read the swirly handwriting for the one millionth time:
-------------------
Dearest Anita,
I hope you're okay, and haven't been doing too much work around the house since I've been gone!!
Arendelle is a truly remarkable place! It's so peaceful, full of beauty, and there's barely any rain or bad weather!
The deliveries have been successful. The King and Queen are lovely people, they've actually given me, Gary and all the other workers a few jobs around the palace, just in order to give us a little bit more money. We have only been given these jobs because of the problem with our boat: it got damaged! But it's being repaired as I write this letter, so we should be on our way back to The Enchanted Forest, hopefully in about a week or two.
I really think we should move to Arendelle once our daughter has been born. It's a far better place for her to grow up then The Enchanted Forest, and the King and Queen says we would be welcome anytime, and I think our daughter would get along with the two princesses. Elsa, the eldest, is six years old, and Anna is three.
You wouldn't believe how much I've missed you. Words can't even begin explaining how much I've been missing you (and your apple pie...). I'm counting the moments until my return, and I hope you are too.
Rodger xxx
-------------------
Anita read the letter again and again. It has been five months since Rodger had left. She had missed her husband so much, and couldn't wait for his return.
The only problem was, that she had been sent this letter four weeks before.
Rodger should have been back home already, where was he?
Anita had just presumed that the ship was still being repaired, so she just continued with her day normally. She had been using her magic to do all the house work, so it wasn't too long before all the pots has been washed, all the ornaments has been polished, the bed had been made, and the garden had been tended too.
Anita was just deciding what to make for her dinner, when there was a knock on the door. She immediately presumed it was Rodger.
"But why would Rodger knock?" She asked herself.
However, she ran to the door anyway, and flung it open. It wasn't Rodger. It was an old man, around the age of sixty, with a short beard and wisps of white hair underneath a black cap. He was wearing a dark coat, and had a sad expression on his face.
Anita had no idea who this was. "Yes?" She asked.
The old man took his hat off. "Anita?"
"... Yes?" She repeated.
"I'm very sorry to inform you - the boat coming back from Arendelle - with the delivery workmen - got caught in a storm. We have believed that the ship has sunk. And there are no survivors."
Anita's heart stopped. "W-what?"
The man bowed his head. "I'm terribly sorry. Your husband was a great man, who worked hard and helped anyone in need. We also believe you are with child, so we are willing to help you in whatever way possible to help you and your unborn."
Anita stayed silent, blinking back her tears. Her husband had been caught in a shipwreck? The father of her child was dead.
"My apologies once more," and the man slowly put his has on, and walked down the path.
As soon as he left Anita closed the door, slid down the wall, and broke down into a million tears.
