"We know Merida as well!" Henry cried.
Goldilocks's eyes widened. "What?! Bushy ginger hair, Scottish accent - "
"Teal dress ripped at the elbows and shoulders?" Henry finished. "Yeah."
"So you know Cruella and Merida!"
"Yes!" Henry nodded. "At least... I think we knew Merida, she was here in Storybrooke. We met her when my mom was The Dark One... Maybe Cruella is lying, and she is pretending that Merida is alive so you will go get that key, and Cruella will use it for her own devices... Goldilocks, you need to tell me everything."
Goldilocks told Henry about everything, except the ring she had been told to get for Cruella. Henry said he would help her find the key in Mr Gold's shop. However, after school that day they went straight to Regina's house, and she didn't know about their plan, so they spoke no more of it.
"Do you want a hot chocolate?" Henry asked Goldilocks as soon as they got inside the Mayor's house.
"I don't know what that means, but okay! Yes I will! Thank you!" Goldilocks replied. Henry laughed and asked his mother to make two hot chocolates, one with cinnamon for him. Regina got to work, and also made herself a cup of coffee.
Henry, Goldilocks and Regina went into the kitchen and Regina began to make the hot chocolate, and Henry and Goldilocks sat by the dining table.
Regina finished making the hot chocolate and placed the cups in getting off the two children. "Here you go, love birds."
Henry rolled his eyes, but smiled as he took a sip. Goldilocks reached out a hand, grabbed the cup, and quickly pulled her hand away.
"Whoa, the cup is hot!" She cried. "I did not expect that to happen...Is that mean to happen? I didn't break it did I!? Did I miss something!?"
"Yeah, you made something," Henry laughed. "Of course it's hot, that's the reason it's called hot chocolate."
Goldilocks looked down at her cup. "...oh..."
"Talk about dumb blonde," Regina whispered.
"What?" Goldilocks turned to look at her friend. She had heard what a Regina had said.
"Nothing, I didn't say anything," Regina grinned. "Oh yeah, Goldilocks, I have something for you." And she quickly let the room.
Goldilocks and Henry watched her go, before leaning over the table to talk.
"Tomorrow we'll go down to Mr Gold's shop and find the key," Henry whispered.
Goldilocks nodded. "And then Cruella will tell me where to find my cousin."
Henry also nodded. "Hopefully we'll be able to find her by the end of the week, and figure out who it was that me and my family met."
"Yeah, hopefully," Goldilocks repeated.
Just then Regina came back in, one of her fists clenched. "Here." She opened her hand tipped something into Goldilocks's hand.
Goldilocks looked, and saw the necklace that Regina's had given to her all those years ago. The one that Cora had snatched from her neck before she fell through the portal.
"You still have it!" Goldilocks laughed, fastening it around her neck. Then she took off the necklace Peter had given to her. She stared at the necklace for a few moments. She couldn't bring herself to get rid of it, so after a quick hesitation she wrapped it sound her wrist three times, and it acted like it was a bracelet.
"Do you want to see what's on Netflix?" Regina asked.
Goldilocks blinked. "I remember Captain Hook telling me about that! Yes, okay then!!" She replied.
Regina, Goldilocks and Henry took their drinks into the sitting room and sat on the give sofa, Goldilocks was sat in the middle. Regina took the remote, saying she would pick the first movie since she was the oldest. However Goldilocks pointed out that technically she was the oldest, because her birthday was before Regina's, but Regina them reminded Goldilocks she spent the majority of her life in Neverland. Henry then suggested he should have the remote, since he was the only boy.
Eventually, after being taught what to do, Goldilocks was given the remote. She spent ten minutes skipping through movies and TV shows before eventually finding a movie about a young wizard boy with a lightning scar, who attended a magic school.
But about a third onto the movie Regina had to pause it, and told them she had a few errands to make, claiming that she forgot about them that morning.
"You can continue watching the film without me, and no inappropriate behaviour whilst I'm gone!" Regina's pointed a warning finger to the couple as she grabbed her hand bag.
"And when have I ever been inappropriate!?" Henry asked innocently.
Regina made sure Henry and Goldilocks would be okay on their own, before she left.
As soon as the felt door closed Henry and Goldilocks continued to talk about their plan to save Merida.
"We're going to the shop tomorrow?" Goldilocks asked.
"Yes. But just be warned, Cruella is a horrible woman," Henry said. "She has done many bad things in Storybrooke, along with her friends - "
"Cruella has friends?" Goldilocks asked. "Wow, that's a first."
Henry laughed. "Yeah. Ursula and Maleficent, all villains - "
"I don't really like that word," Goldilocks butted in.
"What word?"
"Villain," Goldilocks repeated. "It's a horrible word. Indeed, they might have done bad things in the past, but hasn't everyone? They are only villains because of something that happened in their past, maybe betrayal, or death of a loved one, and they've let the position take over them. They aren't bad at all, they just think about things the wrong way."
Henry nodded. "Exactly. I agree, now back to Operation Spider - "
"Operation what!?" Goldilocks coughed.
"Operation Spider," Henry repeated. "We need a code name so no one knows what we're doing."
"And it has to be an animal?" Goldilocks asked unsurely.
"Yeah. It sounds better."
"Then why not do Operation Bear?" Goldilocks suggested.
Henry shook his head. "That would be too obvious with what we are doing. Plus it sounds better if you have two syllables."
"But if we call it Operation Bear then won't they think we're planning something completely different?" Goldilocks pointed out.
"We don't even know if finding Merida has anything to do with a bear," Henry told Goldilocks.
"But Cruella said we had to find a key with a bear at the top." Goldilocks paused for a moment. "I just don't like spiders," she whispered.
"Well what animal do you suggest?" Henry asked.
Goldilocks pondered for a moment. "Well the first animal that comes into my head, with two syllables, is Blackbird...."
Henry smiled. "That's perfect."
"Really?" Goldilocks questioned.
"Yeah. Blackbirds are seen as calm, peaceful birds, but have a powerful screech to warn away predators, and they also fight other blackbirds and they tend to fly through the night, and are fairly sneaky and - "
"Yeah, I can tell you are related to Snow White, with all your knowledge on birds," Goldilocks laughed, and Henry rolled his eyes, but grinned.
"So, Operation Blackbird it is," Henry held out his hand, and Goldilocks laughed, and shook it.
