"Wait, what!?" Goldilocks half yelled. Too many questions were rushing through her mind. How come her father isn't dead? Where had he been this whole time? Why is he now in Storybrooke!?
"It's true," Rodger took a step forwards. "Honey, I'm your father." Rodger reached out a hand to touch Goldilocks, but she took a step back.
"No, wait! You can't be! You - my father is dead. He died in a ship wreck the year I was born," Goldilocks explained.
"I wasn't actually on the boat that sank," Rodger laughed slightly.
"Then where the hell have you been this whole time!! My mother -Anita - was distraught about your death! You've lied all these years!" Goldilocks shouted.
"Yes, I know," Rodger bit his lip anxiously. "That's why I've come back. I came up see you - and your mother - "
"My mother is dead!!" Goldilocks cried, choking back her tears. It had been ages some she'd spoken about her mother.
" - Yes, yes I know she is," Rodger looked down, and shifted his weight from one foot to another. "But I did come back to explain everything, and to set things right." Rodger looked up and his eyes sparked with excitement.
"... Sorry, but I still don't know if you're actually telling the truth. How do I know that you're actually my father?" Goldilocks asked.
"Rodger nodded, giving a small sigh. "I thought you might say that. Well, I'm the younger brother of Cruella, the husband of Anita, I used to deliver things across realms - "
"No offence or anything, but anyone could know this information!" Goldilocks couldn't help rolling her eyes. "I'd need you to answer something only my real father would know. Unfortunately I've never actually met him, so I wouldn't know what to ask," Goldilocks narrowed her eyebrows at Rodger.
Rodger sighed. "I understand what you must be going through. I was accused of poisoning my father!"
"But it was actually your mother, wasn't it?" Goldilocks concluded. "Cruella told me."
"Mother?" Rodger laughed. "No, it was Cruella!"
Goldilocks blinked. "... What!?"
Suddenly Rodger's face hardened and his eyebrows narrowed. "Cruella's not here, is she?"
"In Storybrooke?" Goldilocks asked. "Yeah, she is here."
"Where!? Where is she!? The minute I get my hands on her - " Rodger started to run across the road, to Granny's Diner. Goldilocks's eyes widened with horror and she followed him.
"Da- Rodger, wait!" Goldilocks grabbed his sleeve and managed to pull him back onto the sidewalk. "Cruella has been taken care of. She's in jail."
"Jail? She needs to be dead," Rodger basked up his fists.
"Whoa, okay, calm down," Goldilocks stretched her arms out in front of her, to signal Rodger to call down. "Why do you hate her so much?"
"Why do I hate her! Because she's a demon! She's a monster!"
"... Fair enough," Goldilocks rolled her eyes slightly. "But - you can't really be here. I have been adop-"
But before Goldilocks could continue Rodger began to speak again.
"Anyway, about my idea: As you probably know, my last delivery job before my - 'death' - was a journey to Arendelle. It's a lovely place, though it can get a little chilly at times. Anyway, I actually got a job there - and that's why I didn't come back."
"You ditched your wife and your unborn child for a job!?" Goldilocks screeched.
"Yes, calm down! Anyway, I did go back to find you, honest I did. But I saw your mother's grave in our garden, and I presumed you where killed too."
"You presumed!?" Goldilocks repeated. "So you didn't go find any physical evidence or proof of my 'death'!?"
"Well neither did you or your mother with mine!" Rodger yelled back, before taking a deep breath. "Let me finish! Right, but the reason I came was - Georgia, I want you to come and and live with me in Arendelle!"
"Okay, first of all; my name isn't Georgia, it's Goldilocks; and second; WHAT!?"
"I know, I'm pretty pleased with the idea myself," Rodger smiled. "But I work at the castle. You'll be treated like a princess! You'll befriend the Queen and Princess! Isn't that the sort of life you've always wanted!?"
Goldilocks had to admit she had always loved the idea of being royal, to sit on a throne, and order other people to work for her. She would get new, fancy gowns everyday, and more food then she could possibly eat.
It was the kind of life she had always wanted. An easy life. But unfortunately this life had been declined from her.
There were even a few times in the past when Goldilocks was even willing to swap places with Regina. Regina would often complain about her life and how she hated her mother. Goldilocks would always feel sympathy for her best friend, but Regina did have everything in life that was needed, plus a little more, and Goldilocks barely had anything!
Goldilocks snapped out her thoughts and turned back to face her real Dad. "I have to admit that is a lovely life to live. But I'm afraid I can't leave Storybrooke."
Rodger looked extremely confused. He tilted his head to one side and raised one eyebrow. "And why not?"
"Why not!?" Goldilocks scoffed. "Because I have a life here! I have my best friend, I've got a boyfriend and a Da-" Goldilocks managed to stop herself before she carried on.
Rodger took a step forwards. "A boyfriend , and a bestfriend. Just two friends, you can easily make new friends in Arendelle. But do tell me Goldilocks, what is so important that you have to stay in Storybrooke and not come with me!?"
Rodgers voice was slightly hurtful, his tone made Goldilocks take a step back, and take a few shaky breaths before continuing.
" - I have been adopted here. I have an adopted Dad."
Goldilocks anxiously bit her lip whilst she waited for Rodger to reply. Rodger had an "I can't believe it," look in his face, as he look Goldilocks in the eyes. Finally his eyesight dropped to the floor and he spoke. "Ahh, so you found a replacement for me, did you?"
"You can't say that, I thought you were dead!!" Goldilocks shouted angrily.
"Just you wait," Rodger spoke in a terrifyingly angry tone. "I'll come back and find you, and you will come back to Arendelle with me, just you wait!" He pointed a warming finger at Goldilocks, before disappearing in a cloud of purple smoke.
Goldilocks stood there, looking at the spot where her real father had just stood. So many thoughts were in her head. Her father had left Anita to care for their child all by herself, and they both lived life thinking he was dead, when in reality he was living in another realm!!
Suddenly the door of Granny's Diner opened, and out walked Emma.
"Goldilocks, there you are," Emma jogged up to Goldilocks. "Jewel said you came outside, but you were out here for such a long time - hey, are you okay?" Emma noticed Goldilocks's worried expression on her face.
Goldilocks stayed silent, before slowly flickering her eyes up to Emma's. "I am adopted to Dr Hopper, right? Like, it's official, and everything's been signed to confirm it?"
"Erm, yeah. I was there, and so were my parents and Regina," Emma nodded.
Goldilocks sighed, relieved.
"Why do you ask?" Emma added.
Goldilocks paused for a moment, considering whether to tell Emma about her dad or not. But then she remembered all the secrets she had kept about Peter Pan, and her and Henry's secret plan to save Merida, and she decided if Emma knew what was going on she could help.
"Because - we have a slight problem," Goldilocks explained. "My real father's in town."
