LEXI'S P.O.V.
"Heyy baby boyy."
I said in soft tone embracing Michael in the hug.
"Hey ma, what's up?"
"Nothing much, how was your day there?"
"It was good. So listen mom, I was thinking, so, few of my friends and I wanted to throw a party. So I was thinking, what if-"
"Baby you know how risky that is."
"No, no, not here. Listen. That house in Malibu we have. We'll clean everything up and make it look as if we didn't even throw a party."
"Without drugs."
"Okay, half of them are still training football, and stuff, but we'll say there's no drugs. And alcohol?"
"I can go shopping with you guys, I have to know what are you guys going to drink."
"Thank youuu."
"And when did you plan on doing that?"
"Saturday."
"Okay."
"Thank you."
He kissed my cheek once again.
"Hey buddy."
Lee jumped up and sat between us.
"Are you going out tonight?"
"I think so. Celia and I are going to meet up with some friends at the park."
"Friends from mafia or?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. Just be careful. And you gotta eat before you go."
"I will.""Mommm I'm hungryy!"
Josie whined while walking in the living room.
"Well you can make yourself something to eat, let mom chill a bit, did you think about that?"
"Kiss my ass Michael."
Two of them started making faces at each other. It just reminds me so much of me and my siblings.
"Okay, stop you two. What do you want to eat?"
"I don't know."
"I can make us all waffles."
Michael suggested sitting up on the couch.
"Okay, you have freezed ones."
"Okay."
Michael got up with Josie following behind him."I'm home!"
"Heyy, what's up?"
"Uh, I'm dead, I need a shower."
Mason breathed out while sweat was dripping from his forehead.
"Okay, you have time until waffles that your siblings are making are ready."
"Lord help us."
He said making me giggle, before giving me a kiss on the cheek and walking up the stairs.Maybe it's time to go through past five years since Jaden died.
We got a dog, but y'all know that.
Michael is almost 17, and Josie and Mason are turning 13 in December.
It was really rough, but I guess we all sort of learned how to live without him, even though none of us wanted to.
John passed away two years ago because of cancer. So the only male figures kids now have are Bryce, Nick, Josh and Blake.
I can't even explain how much they all helped me, including girls too. I don't know how I would've be here now if it wasn't for everyone around me.
About kids, well, Michael did get his license last year, so now he can drive himself wherever he wants to go. And I'm proud of him, but I don't like them growing up. He at least needed me to drive him somewhere, now he doesn't even needs that.
Mason's 'diet' worked so good on him, because he really looks good now. He started training last year, which takes kids coming over to our house, or him crossing the street so they all work out together in the gyms we have at homes.
Josie, on the other hand, got diagnosed with ADHD and she's really been struggling with depression and anxiety. She goes to therapist regularly, I take her. And we've all been there for her, but also simply for each other. Mason struggles with social anxiety, which we all remember while Jaden was still alive. But I don't pressure them anymore to do stuff they don't want.
If he doesn't want to meet new people - I think he should, but I won't press him because I know how that can take a turn. And everything that happens, I just try to make it easier for them.
I also haven't stopped going to therapist last five years. I don't go that frequently anymore, but I still do.
But yeah, that's how fucked up his death got us. All of us."Waffles!"
Them two yelled from the kitchen, making Mason and me walk there. We all sat at the table, eating them, talking.
"Gotta say your waffles are really good."
I said, making both of them smile widely.
"I agree."
Mason said nodding his head while we both smiled, knowing that those are just freezed waffles that they heated up.
They fistbumped each other, before thanking and jumping into other conversations.Later, Michael went out. Josie and Mason were in their rooms I'm pretty sure while I waited for Michael to come home. I need to make sure he got back safely.
I watched some movie on TV, almost falling asleep. My eyes were closing and opening really slowly.
11:24 pm and my phone started ringing.
I jumped up from the couch; my heart beating got faster. It scared the shit out of me.
I grabbed the phone form living room table. It's Eva."Hey E, what's up?"
"A-auntie? I need y-your he-lp."
"Hey, hey, what happened? Did you kill anyone? Crash someone's car? What happened?"
I jumped up from the couch once I heard her crying.
"N-no. But it's serious. And y-you can't tell mom."
"Okay. Tell me. Where are you right now?"
"U-uh, I'm in a park."
"Send me location right now. What are you doing at almost midnight alone in the park? Are you crazy?"
"Pl-ease just pick me u-up."
"Send me location, I'll be there as soon as possible. Be safe out there."
"M'kay."
She hang up, and soon I got her location.
"I need to go somewhere real quick, you two are alone home. Call me if something happens but I'll be home in half of hour probably."
Mason nodded his head, waving.I rushed to the garage and sat in the car. I turned on the engine and drove as fast as I could to the location.
So many thoughts were in my head. What the fuck happened? Why is she crying? What is she even doing at midnight in park alone? Did someone hurt her? Did she do something bad?
