chapter 11

February 17th, 2041

3RD PERSON

"Okay, sorry for waiting. Here's the email I got."
Lexi said tapping on her phone few times before handing her phone to George.
"Okay, let's see."

George was sat on the chair and Clark and Lexi were on each side of his chair; watching what he is doing.

"It will take some time."

Patiently, yet so impatiently, they all waited for computer to locate the email.

"Ooh, there is it."

They all shot up, standing and sitting straight.

"Okay, this is small café near beach."
"What?! That must be a mistake."
"What if someone went to that café so they could send the message, because they are scared of the person who is actually holding Jaden like a hostage?"
"Yeah, that might actually be true."
"Okay, thank you so much George."
"Of course. If you guys need any more help, I'm here all the time. I really hope you can get your husband back."

Lexi smiled at him, as he gave one back while holding the doorknob.

"Okay, just don't mention it to anyone. Alright?"
"Of course. Bye guys."
"Bye."

Soon, Clark and Lexi were left alone in the office.

Once their eyes connected, they both started speaking at the same time.

"Shall we go?"

Both of them asked the same thing, before chuckling.

"Wait, what time even is it?"
"8 pm."
"Great. By the time we are there hopefully the boss will be there too."
"Yeah. Let's go."

Clark and Lexi were quick to make their way to the parking lot and sit in Lexi's car.

The crazy woman she is, Lexi drove around 100 miles per hour so they would make it to the café faster.

Once her car was parked on a parking lot they walked out and made their way inside.

"Hello, what can I get for you today?"
"Uh, I need help, actually. I got an email on 10th February. It was sent from your café. So I was wondering if we could see who was here at that time that day?"
"Well, guests can't go through our cameras."
"I know. But please. I'll pay how much you want."
"It's important for life."
"I guess I can talk to my boss and see."
"Thank you."

Clark and Lexi waited until the woman came back downstairs. They both believed thay they will show them the cameras because Lexi said she'd pay them.

"Come with me."

They followed woman through the café to boss's office.

After introducing themselves to each other and talking for few minutes, they came in the conclusion that Lexi would pay them thousand dollars to get the video.

Lexi didn't care about money if it meant that she is going to get her husband back and that she will prove everyone that she was right the whole time.

They got that video on Lexi's  phone, so they can rewatch it multiple times when we get out of café.

"Thank you so much for this."

They finally left the café and sat in the car.

"I still think this tattooed guy looks the most suspicious."
"I feel like I've seen him before."
"Yeah, me too."
