3RD PERSON

Bryce and Lexi took hour to drive to Jaden's safe spot, so when they arrived, it was already past midnight.

"Josie! Josie!"

They yelled around, but nothing. Still no word from Josie.

They sat in the car, in defeat, and it was a moment for Lexi to break down again.

Bryce tried calming her down, so they could think of more places where they could go.

They spent the whole night driving around the city, but nothing.

6 am, and they arrived back home. They both needed toilet so bad, so they rushed in the different ones.

"Lexi get out right now! It's urgent!"
"What is it? You can open the doors."

She was just washing her hands when Bryce started banging on the doors.

"Ashley's mom called. Ashley came back home, we need to go before the kid decides to run away again."

Immediately, they both were already in car, speeding off to Ashley's house.

They rushed in without knocking, seeing Ashley standing there and arguing with her mom.

"Fuck."

Girl muttered under her breath, when she saw Lexi and Bryce. She knew they were looking for Josie.

"Ashley, tell them where Josie is. This is getting you into even more trouble than you already are by now."
"I don't know where she is."
"Ashley. Please. I just want to make sure my kid is okay. You are older, you should know that she isn't safe alone, out. Please."
"Ugh. Okay. But if she b- if she gets mad at me I swear."
"Okay. Just get us to her."

Ashley explained where their little secret place is, before Lexi and Bryce left.

They drove to some woods, parking the car and then following the signs on the trees as Ashley previously explained.

They approached little wooden house, slowly opening the doors.

They immediately started making noises, due to the fact that they are probably too old.

They searched around, seeing Josie trying to hide from them between couch and wall.

"Josie! Jesus Christ! Come here."

Crying girl got up, her mom forcing her in a hug, starting to cry with her.

"I was so worried, don't ever do it again."

Bryce sighed in relief, rubbing his forehead.

"Let's get you home and then we'll talk."

They made their way to the car, Lexi was in the back with Josie while Bryce was driving, at the same time informing everyone that they found Josie.

Josie's head was placed on Lexi's chest, sniffling softly every now and then. Lexi was caressing her hair, not letting her go from embrace.

Once Bryce was parked in the yard, Michael and Mason rushed out of house, jumping into Josie's embrace.

"Dumbass, don't ever do this again!"
"I was so worried for you sissy."

Two boys cried with her, thanking God that she is back home and she is okay.

When they walked inside, Addison, Eva and Jackson all jumped up to hug the teenage girl, but no one asked anything.

Soon, they all left the house to let Lexi, Josie, Michael and Mason talk alone.

"Baby, what was that? Why did you do it?"
Josie started crying in Michael's embrace, while Lexi sat next to her.

"Was it because of our talk before?"
She slightly nodded her head, making Lexi sigh and drop her shoulders.

"I'm sorry mom."
"Listen, I don't know what made you believe I wouldn't support you. Or your brothers. I'm your mom and I will love you endlessly, no matter who you love."
"I-I just thought you'd be disappointed and that y-you would kick me out."
"Is that you saying you're gay?"

Mason asked, standing up in front of them.

"Y-yeah. I-I don't think I like boys in any way. I never did."
"And that is totally okay. You love who you love and we are here to support you."
"I-I thought you wouldn't."
"Why wouldn't I? I like males and females. I just never felt a need to tell you, because it doesn't matter if I'm in love with your dad."
"Wha- wait really mom?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I agree with you too, women are hot."

Michael shrugged, raising up his hand for high five from Lexi and Josie.

"And would it make a man less man if he likes boys too?"

Mason nervously asked, playing with his fingers.

"Of course not. Do you like boys?"

Mason broke in tears, making Lexi, Michael and Josie pull him down in a hug.

"I-I don't know. I don't know."
"It's okay if you don't know, that is normal. You don't need label any way. You have whole life in front of you to explore who you are attracted to."

He nodded his head, sniffling.

"I- I like girls, but I don't know if I like boys."
"That's okay. I support you all with my whole heart, okay?"
"I support you guys too."

Michael added, kissing Josie's head and messing up Mason's hair.

"So, Ashley is your girlfriend?"
"Y-yeah."
"And you didn't share it with us! You prick!"
"Have you guys kissed?"
"Y-yeah."
"How was it?"
"Embarrassing."
"Hope nothing else happened than kiss?"

Lexi stated, but it was more questionable.

"No. Nothing."
"Good. Y'all are still to young to have sex, okay?"

She told Mason and Josie, making them nod.

"Wait! We are whole family attracted to girls. What the fuck! That's cool!"

Michael laughed at the realization, making all of them laugh too.

"But Josie, baby, you know I need to punish you for this. You got all of us so worried. You don't even know how many people were up whole night, trying to find you."
"I know you do. But can you please like make me do chores or something? I really don't wanna stay in my room for weeks."
"Hmm. I'll let your brothers decide."
"Well, knowing that you have a girlfriend, I'm not willing to stop you from seeing her because I know how is it. So like, you can clean Mason's and my room."
"Yeah. And clean Lee's poop in the yard."
"And do it for two weeks."
"Jesus, it would be better if mom grounded me."

Lee ran in the living room, after hearing his name being mentioned, jumping up on Josie's lap.

The sound of Lexi's phone ringing made her snap her head towards the table.

It's Clark. The results are probably done, she thought.

Grabbing her phone, she walked up the stairs and closed the doors of her room.

"Hey Clark."
"Hey Lex, I've got the results."
"Listen, I'm sorry for making all this scene, but you don't need to tell me the results. I realized I should focus more on my kids, than trying to find a way to make my dead husband come back. So, thank you for all the time I took away from you, but I don't nesd to hear that my husband is dead once again. I'm sick of people calling me crazy, so I need to get my shit together-"
