"Thank you Nicky."
"Of course. How's he doing?"
"He's- well, better than when we found him." Nick pressed his lips as he nodded his head, talking to his sister.

"Only today sis. Then you can be a happy family again." Lexi's eyes filled with tears, making Nick pull her in a tight hug.

"Maybe Amy stops hating me now." She chukled as she pulled away from Nick to wipe her tears.
"Definitely."

See, the thing is, since Jaden died, Amy acted weird towards Lexi. Which Lexi kind of understood, because he did 'die' because of her. He jumped in fire because of her.

And no mom on this earth wants that. Amy was always happy that Jaden found the love of his life, but deep inside she was hurt because she knew that there is a woman that he most likely loves more than he loves her - his mom. And it works like that with moms who have sons that fell in love.

She never necessarily did something bad to Lexi, but it was obvious that, even if Amy denied it thousand times, she blamed Lexi for his death.

But now when Lexi brings him home, maybe things change. Maybe Amy stops having that image of her being 'Jaden's killer' in her head.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow little brother."
"Shut up." Lexi laughed as she walked to elevator and made her way in Jaden's room.

"Hey love, you're awake?"
"Shit." Jaden turned around and looked at Lexi with wide eyes.

"What's wrong baby?" She asked when he walked up to her and hugged her tight.

"I woke up and you weren't there and I thought all of this was a dream."
"No, no, don't worry baby. It's all real. I just went down to pick up the things I told Nick to bring me."
"Thanks God." They kissed as Lexi closed the doors behind her.

"Look, we have breakfast here. We have scissors. And we have hair dye."
"Ooh shit, so we're actually doing it?"
"Of course, if you want to."
"Yes, I do." He smiled and they walked together in the bathroom.

"How are we cutting it?"
"Short. Because it's all dead."
"Okay. You wanna play alone with scissors or do you want me to cut it?"

He looked at her through the mirror as he thought for a second.

"Okay, you're cutting it by yourself." She said as she realized he is thinking too long, so that means he's overthinking if he'll ruin it if he does it by himself.

"But I'll fuck it up." Knew it.
"No you won't. If anything, if you fuck it up that bad I'll try to fix it. Okay?"
"I don't want kids, or mom, or anyone not to like it when I'm back."
"Jaden what the fuck? You're not right in the head. First of all, you look good anyway. Second of all, if it looks that bad, there's always a way to fix it. Third, since when do you care so much about what people think?"
"Uh, since I wasn't there for five years. I have a gut feeling telling me that they are mad at me for leaving. I mean, I know they are, but I feel like it won't change when I'm back. I missed so much important things in their- yours life. A-and- I don't fucking know."

Lexi wrapped her arms around him as she placed a kiss on his neck.

"Baby, you need to stop overthinking. Because your anxiety is lying to you. Trust me, none of those things are real. No one will blame- nor blames you right now for what happened. Everyone will be so happy to have you back, they won't care about your fucking hair."
"Ugh, you're right."
"I know I am. C'mon, you can do it. I know you can." She kissed his cheek and his lips before leaving the bathroom and leaving him to decide what he wants to do.

"Fucking shit." He mumbled as he grabbed scissors and started cutting his hair.
"Oh damn."

Lexi inpatiently waited for him to finish, because she wanted to see what he did to his hair so bad.

"Jae, baby, are you done yet? I can't wait anymore." Jaden chuckled as he thought she sounded like a little kid.
"U-uh I think I am."

Lexi was quick to walk in the bathroom as her gaze fell on Jaden's head.

Her eyes widened as a big smile appeared on her face.

"What?"
"It looks so good on you what the fuck? You look so hot."

Jaden smiled as he tried to stop himself from blushing.

Usually, Jaden wouldn't blush from a little compliment like that, it would usually just warm up his heart, but now, he hasn't gotten one from his favorite woman in last five years and it just feels so weird. His anxiety also got much worse through the years of being locked down most of the time.

Lexi ran her hands through the little of hair Jaden had left on his head as she wouldn't stop smiling.

"Why are you smiling so much?" Jaden asked nervously as he thought he looked funny with short hair to her.

"You're just so beautiful. I think you genuinely look so pretty with short hair. You look much younger. Like a little baby."
"You really think?"
"Yes. So fucking cute."

They slowly leaned in, as they soon connected their lips, turning it into a make out.

"So we are dying it black?"
"Yeah." Lexi prepared hair dye while Jaden took off his shirt.

"No, wait!"
