chapter 12

February 18, 2041

3RD PERSON

"Goshhhh."
Michael groaned while rubbing his head.

Lexi was immediate to wake up.
"Momma?"
"Yes. Momma. Does your head hurts?"

She asked with annoyed voice, which caused Michael to think why is she annoyed. He doesn't remember anything from last night.

"Yes, so bad."

She grabbed his wrist and pulled him downstairs to the kitchen with her while he whined.

"Jeez ma'! Calm down."
"Have this fucking pill and sit there on the chair."

He just listened what she said. He was still asleep, his head was hurting and he was just hangover.

"Now tell me, how many times we talked about goddamn drugs?"

Michael gulped, realizing that she knows he did drugs and that she is hella mad at him.

He quickly sat up straight on the chair and answered.

"Million."
"And how many goddamn times you promised not to use them?"
"Million."
"How many times I told you that you cannot use drugs in abandoned house?"
"Million."

Lexi was getting angrier by seconds, while Michael was getting more scared.

"And how many times I told you if you are going to use drugs to only use weed and nothing else?!"
"Million."
"And?! What did you do?!"
"Use pills."
"And which ones?"
"Molly."
"Molly" Lexi mocked as she slapped his head, "It's ecstasy. You are not allowed to use street names."
She turned around and walked away before walking back to him.

"Why? Why did you- What was in your head?!"
"I'm sorry mom. I truly am."
"Don't apologize to me! You really disappointed me."
"I know I did mom. And I'm sorry even though you don't believe it. I- I don't know what was in my head."
"Obviously nothing."
"Can you please tell me what happened? Because I do not remember."
"You called me and started talking some stupid stuff, I realized you are high, picked you up, brought you home, put you in cold shower, changed your clothes, put you in bed with me."

Michael was disappointed in himself and that he let down not only his mom, but dad too. And on top of that he was embarrassed his mom was changing his clothes and saw him naked.

"I'm sorry mom."

Tears started streaming down his face as he sat there with his face in his hands.

Lexi sighed, walking closer to him and hugging him.

He wrapped his arms around his mom, holding tight onto her.

"I'm so mad at you. Really mad."
"I know. I'm mad at myself."
"You know I need to ground you."
"I know. It's fine."
"Can you promise me you won't do hard drugs? If you're gonna do anything use just weed. Please. I don't want you falling into addiction."
"Okay. I promise."

They pulled away before Lexi slapped the back of his head.

"I think Mikey should make breakfast today since he did some awful things."

Josie entered the kitchen with Mason following behind.

"Agreed."
Mason said opening the doors for Lee to go out.

Lexi shrugged looking at Michael before he got up and walked to the fridge.

"What do you guys want?"
"Pancakes."
"Okay."

The rest of the day went fine for the family. Lexi was currently in Jaden's home office, going through his computer.

She wasn't the type to go through his stuff, but she just wanted to find all suspects to kidnap him for years.

So that's what she was currently doing.

She was writing down all the names on the paper, planning on meeting with Clark to talk about them and try to see if anyone of them could actually be the one who kidnapped him.

Night was quick to fall and Lexi was currently going over to Nessa's house to chat a little.

"Hey C."

She gave Celia quick hug which teenage girl returned.

"Hey Lex."
"What are you up to?"
"Nothing much, getting ready for a sleepover."
"That's nice. Your mom in living room?"
"Mhm."
"'Kay."

Lexi made her way to the living room, where she found Nessa waiting for her on the couch.

"Hey Coop."
I smiled at Cooper once I saw him in the hall.

"Hey Lex. What's up?"
"Oh nothing much, Bryce called me here for some papers. I'm not even sure, he said he will explain to me."
"Oh, that's nice."
"Yeah. What's up with you, how are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm good. I'm not really doing anything past few days."
"Yeah, me too."

Once I was done talking to him I walked to Bryce's office.

"Oh, hey Lex. This is Aaron."
Bryce said as he pointed to the guy who was sat across him.

Aaron as in Aaron who they tried to set me up with? Goddamn.

"Hi, I'm Lexi, nice to meet you."
I smiled as I stuck out my hand, knowing damn well that he knows my name.

"Aaron, very nice meeting you too."
He smiled as he got up too and held my hand.

"So, uh, Bryce, those papers?"
"Oh, yeah, here. It's very simple to fill them up, you'll see. You can hust run over them because it's kinda boring."
"Okay, if you say so. Well, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go home now."
"Okay, bye."

I tried hurrying in the elevator, because I heard Aaron saying bye to Bryce. I really don't want to talk to him.

Just before elevator doors closed, someone stuck their hand to stop them from closing.

I had to control myself from rolling my eyes as the guy entered the elevator.

"Hi."
"Uh, hey."

I faked a little smile to him as he pressed the button and made elevator finally move.

"So, Lexi, I was wondering if you'd like to go on a dinner with me, while I am in LA."

He looked at me as his held his hands in his pockets.

Goddamn did he really need to do this?

"Look Aaron, you're a nice guy," He already smiled at me. God I hate being a bitch, "But I'm still very much in love with my dead husband and not ready to move on."

I watched as his face slightly dropped at my answer, but he managed to keep a little smile so it doesn't seem like I crushed his dreams.

"Oh, it's okay. I understand."
"Thank you."

I smiled as I nodded my head, cursing the elevator for not being faster in my head.

"My offer will wait for you until you're ready."

He said as we got out of elevator, but realized we were going on different ways.

"I'll keep that in mind."

I smiled as he waved at me.

"I'll see you around I guess."
"Bye."

I waved before exiting the building. Thank fuck.
