Scene 64 – Let’s go tour New York
Ralphe looked up to the EMC where Clara and the kids were watching. He played with the ball he was going to throw later. The game was almost starting, Fenway Park was packed and he won't admit it to anyone but he was nervous. The last time he played baseball was college. He didn't want to mess this up.
How embarrassing it would be if he messed up.
"Uncle Ralphe!" he spun around and saw Tatum running toward him, his smile slipped when he saw no chaperone. What the hell? Before he could do something, Tatum jumped and he quickly caught her.
She giggled and he ruffled her hair. "How did you get here?"
"That nice lady!" pointing her fingers to the woman who was wearing a uniform, waitress. "I wanted to see you up close. "
He smiled warmly, kissed her on top of her head and whispered, "Thank you princess. " It was no surprise that this little girl was worming her way to his heart. This little girl held a piece of his heart; he'd do anything for this girl.
"I will be your cheerleader!" she said, "Go Uncle Ralphe! " she exclaimed.
He chuckled, "Want me to ask for pompoms?"
It was supposed to be a joke but Tatum's face lit up with excitement so he asked for pompoms.

Ralphe did well.
So now, he was here at the EMC watching the rest of the game. The kids seemed engrossed with the game also. Clara was the only one who wasn't. He knew she liked baseball but she was never really a fan of it.
He scooted close to her, leaned closer that their shoulders were almost touching, “Do you want beer?” he asked.
She shook her head, raised the glass of chardonnay, “I have this.”
He huffed, “Beer is the companion when watching a game.”
She chuckled, “You know I don’t like the taste of beer.” She said, “It’s gross.”
This time he was the one who laughed loudly that the kids and the other turned their attention to them both so he smiled politely and then turned to Clara who was frowning at him, “I remember Anton telling me you out drink him once. With beer.”
She seemed to think it over and she smiled shyly, “Yeah well, he was being a sexist pig and I wanted to show off.”
Anton, a sexist? Yeah, he didn’t see it.
