Scene 46 – See you in court, Clara
Clara’s eyed widened as Ralphe stormed inside her house, she spun around, grabbed him by his arm, “Ano sa tingin mo ang ginagawa mo?”
He glared at her, “Taking my son!” he yelled.
“NO!” she yelled back, “He’s not your son!”
Ralphe looked at her in disbelief, “Haggang ngayon, itatanggi mo parin Clara? Alam ko na!” he said, “Kieran!” he shouted.
If he continue this, Kieran would hear them, she couldn’t let that happen. No, Kieran mustn’t know the truth, “Let’s talk.” And she dragged him toward the nearest room, she shut the door and locked it.
The moment she faced him, she saw all the anger in his eyes, the hatred and suddenly she felt very little. She didn’t know why.
“Why?” he asked, “Bakit mo tinago sa akin?”
“May magbabago ba Ralphe? I did what was best for my son.”
“Paanong naging best iyon?”
“You never wanted kids, Ralphe. I heard you. You told that Bryony that you’d have me kill my son. Do you really think I’d want that for my child? To know that his own father wanted him dead?”
“Clara, we were speaking hypothetically.”
“Pero walang magbabago kung hypothetical man o hindi. Sabihin mo sa akin ngayon, kung sinabi ko ba sayo noon na buntis ako ano ang gagawin mo?” she asked him, she knew the answer but damn did it still hurt with the silence.
She knew then. He knew it too. He’d probably be so furious with her and accused her of so many things and then he’d force her to do the abortion or if he couldn’t do that, he’d reject Kieran.
“I loved you. So much and you betray me like this…” he was pacing around the room with his hand pointing at her.
He never answered her, honestly, he answered with his silence but this… to throw this at her right now that he loved her. As if she was going to believe that. She just snapped. “Oh, you loved me so much that you cheated on me!”
He stopped from pacing back and stared at her, “I told you, I never cheated on you!”
“You did. Every time you were gone and buying that woman flowers, you cheated on me. Every Wednesday that I couldn’t contact you, I knew you were cheating on me.” Because what else was the answer as to why he was always gone every freaking Wednesday. “You never bought me flowers.”
He opened his mouth then shut it again, he shook his head, “Is this why you kept it from me? To spite me because I never bought you flowers?”
