Scene 70 – I'm here to stay

At the foyer, Clara gathered the kids, she'd pack already and all she needed was her kids' blessing. Her suitcase was by the door and that was the first thing Kieran noticed.

"Mommy, where are you going?"

She knelt down, she motioned them to come closer and she smiled at them, "Mommy is going to bring back Uncle Ralphe." because she was. Yesterday, when she woke up and Aiden was gone, she knew then, she really needed to move forward.

She didn't want to come rush to Ralphe, she wanted to think things through, did she love him? Did she want to be with him? And, did she deserve him after the way she'd hurt him.

She thought of Aiden also. And she wondered, was he a ghost, a spirit or was he a figment made up by her head? And she remembered the thing Professor Dumbledore told Harry when they were in that train station.

That yes, it was all in Harry's head but that didn't mean it wasn't real.

So she'd finally accepted that he was real. Just like he said, he came back because she needed him. He came when she was close to killing herself and he prevented that. He made her try.

Little by little, he was teaching her. Teaching her how to live without him.

It's a little sad to admit but she didn't need him anymore. Okay, she'd always need him but the difference was the way she needed him. She didn't need him to live. She was her own person.

With that decided, she realized she loved Ralphe. Cassandra would say she was rushing things and Ralphe was just a replacement. But she loved Ralphe.

Yes, it wasn't the forever kind of love. That wasn't a bad thing. For he may not be her forever man, he was her present man.

Tatum's face lit up and she jumped towards Clara, "Thank you mommy!" Tatum squealed. "Can I come with you?"

Of course, she was bringing them. She still didn't want them to get out of her sight. This was her surprise to them. And, if they came, it'd be easier to convince Ralphe to forgive her and not leave them.

She smiled, "Of course. I packed already. So you guys okay with Uncle Ralphe coming back?"

"Do you love him, mommy?" Kieran asked.

She smiled, Tatum pulling away and looking at her too with a hopeful smile along with Maddox. "Is that okay?"

Kieran nodded slowly, "If you are happy, I am happy." he answered, "We love Uncle Ralphe."

And with that said, they went on their journey.
