Scene 39 – That great of a man
Ralphe settled down to the couch, he clicked play on the remote and watched. He really didn’t think he could do this but he thought if he wanted to know about Clara, about the life she had while they were separated this was going to do.
Damn it, he needed to man the hell up. He just couldn't give up. No, he couldn’t do that anymore, he wouldn’t allow himself to be too late. To just let go of the chance of happiness.
But the moment he saw Clara kissed her husband, he turned the TV off. Damn it, he couldn’t handle it.
He stood, walked to the desk and grabbed the bottle of bourbon. Took a swig at it. Why couldn’t he man the hell up and watch the fucking video?
It hurt. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t watch Clara be in love with another.
Maybe someday he’d do it but not today. He wasn’t strong enough.

Clara paced around her room, she was still worrying, what if, what if Ralphe found out about Kieran? No, no, it couldn't happen. Ralphe would never know.
“Mommy?”
Clara stopped, turned her head toward the bed and smiled at her son, “What is it, Kieran?”
Kieran jumped out of bed and walked toward her, she knelt down to face him, “Where’s Uncle Alex?” he yawned sleepily.
“He’s with the twins.” Plano nilang lahat kanina ng umalis sila sa Phoenix Entertainment ay mamasyal kasama si Alex. Kumain muna sila sa labas at pagkatapos ay pupunta sana sila sa isang amusement park, papunta nila doon ay nakatulog na si Kieran kaya nagpasya si Clara na inuwi nalang si Kieran at yung kambal nalang ang isama ni Alex.
“Oh.”
Nginitian niya ang anak at hinawi ang buhok nito, “Don’t worry, I’m taking you somewhere.”
His face lit up, “Really?”
“Yes. Your Aunt Jenny told me about this ice cream parlor, we’ll go there.”
Niyakap siya ni Kieran, “Thank you mommy.”
Lumayo siya kay Kieran at tinignan ito ng seryoso, “Kieran, I love you.”
“I love you too, mommy.”
“I’m going to protect you. Nobody will ever hurt you.”
He scrunched his nose, “Mommy that’s my job! I’m the man of the house so I have to protect you and the twins.”
