A/N: this is about the song Drunk Driving by Koe Wetzel. I was listening to it and I was like "Dally."
I CRIED WRITING THIS NO JOKE.
Pls don't drunk drive

He downed the fifteenth beer.
Opened the sixteenth.
Dallas Winston was gonna break.
He was already 2 whiskeys, two vodka shots, and fifteen beers deep.

He downed the sixteenth and stumbled to the telephone on Buck's wall. He quickly dialed her phone number.

"Hello?" Her voice said on the other end.

"Hey, baby." He said with a smile. Her voice was sleepy and it made him feel like a million dollars knowing that she was his. But this happiness soon faded when he remembered why he was calling her.

"Dal, it's late, go to bed." She said after a long sigh. He knew he had to say goodbye to her.

"I love you." He slurred. He clutched onto the phone as hard he could. He knew he'd have to say goodbye but he couldn't do it.

"I love you too, now go to bed," He heard her shuffle and he panicked.

"No! Don't hang up-" He yelled.

"Ok? What?" She said.

"Tell Johnny I love him and to take care of all of you guys." He said after a pause. She was taken by surprise.

"Dally what? What's happening?" Now she was clutching the phone. She didn't know what he was doing and she was scared.

"I don't want to leave you lonely but I've got to." He said, staring at the floor.

"Dallas, what?"

"It scares me so damn much, I can't take it I'm not strong."

"Yes you are," She started to sob.

"It's probably best that I move on, get out of here." He knew he was hurting her.

"No, you gotta stay baby, you got to." She said as her voice started to choke up.

"Everybody's gotta die somehow, why not for me right now?" He said after a pause. He started to choke up.

"Dally, stop whatever you're doing, I'm coming to get you." Her voice started to break out of fear.

"That's why I'm out drunk driving again," He said. He heard her silent sobs on the other end, "Pulling away from all of my sins."

"You can't do this- you can't!" She cried through the phone.

"I love you. More than anything, baby. God I hope you know that." And before he could hear her response, he pushed the phone back onto the stand.

He stumbled out of Buck's house and started the car he'd taken the keys of. He looked at the passenger seat and remembered her. Laughing, having the time of her life, and he let a tear fall down his cheek knowing he'll never see her again.

He put the car into drive and he set off for the road with all the intentions of not making it off of it. He placed the gas pedal to the floor and raced down the dangerous streets of Tulsa.

And before he knew anything, he was t-boned on an intersection and all he saw was glass and blood flying everywhere.

With only one thing on his mind as he quickly slipped away from the tight grasp of life,

Her.
