A/N: Modern

My mom and my brother were in the front, heading to the doctor to get my blood work done. The baby was in the middle in her car seat and Dally was behind the drivers and I was behind the passenger.

She was fussy the entire ride to the doctor's office, and I was starting to get worried because she never got fussy in the car.

"Dal, are you sure? We don't have to-" I began. He grabbed my hand and picked his head up from the head rest.

"I've got her." He said with a smile.

"Okay." I returned the smile and I shifted out of the car and walked into the doctors. What felt like forever was 10 minutes before I went in. It took two seconds, but the needle hurt worse than usual.

I walked out into the waiting room and my mom got up so we could leave.

"That hurt worse than usual." I said, rubbing the cotton ball on my vein.

"Eh, probably because you're dehydrated." She said and we walked out the car.

I went back to my seat while my mom drove to the grocery store and Dally was back to laying his head down since it was early in the morning. She had her little hand wrapped around his finger sleeping, and I felt a rush of butterflies and I smiled.

"How'd it go?" He mumbled.

"Alright. Hurt worse than usual, weird." I said and laid my head back too. He shot his head up and looked at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked and looked down when our daughter squeezed his finger.

"Yeah I'm fine, don't worry about it, I'm sure it's fine." I said and I smiled at him. He sighed and looked down at her.

She was sleeping peacefully while we were waiting for my mom and Dally was admiring that. I gently placed my hand on her head and caressed her hair and she smiled a bit. That caused both of us to smile and I looked up at him. He was in awe just looking at her.

"You two look stupid." My brother said from the front seat.

"Shut the fuck up." I said and he laughed at me.

"Whatever." He said and slumped against his seat. Dally looked at me with a 'Can I kill him' look but I shook my head and looked back down.

She was starting to wake up and she fluttered her eyes. They were hazel, a mix of blue and brown and she had brown hair. She opened her eyes and stared at Dally and cooed. I just couldn't help but let out a subtle "awww" and Dally smiled.

He unbuckled her from her seat since we were just in the parking lot and he held her to his chest. He rubbed her back and she reached up for his hair and started playing and pulling at it.

"I don't know why you hate kids, Dal, you were made to be a dad." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Dallas Winston was not made to be a dad." He responded and smiled at our daughter.

"Mhm, say that again without smiling at our kid." I laughed and he chuckled along with me.

"I wouldn't trade anything for you, darling." He whispered and my heart melted and my mom got into the car. We strapped her back up and we were on our way again.
