It was 12 in the morning, I was 43 weeks pregnant, I know. I was just patiently waiting for this baby to come out.

This baby isn't ever gonna- that's when I felt the pain. It was terrible, like my insides were burning and ripping at the same time. It lasted for twenty seconds before laying off. It was worse than Braxton Hicks.

Two hours went by and the contractions were so bad. They were coming every two minutes and I got scared, Dally wasn't home.

Me: Dally I need you home ASAP
My boy<3: What's wrong? I got an hour left of my shift
Me: Dally I think it's time it hurts so bad
My boy<3: Shit baby I'm coming home!!

And he did. He came two minutes later and ran into the room mid contraction. He ran up to me and wrapped an arm around my back and held my hand. "Do we need to go to the hospital?" He panically asked. I nodded and he helped me up and we walked to the car as quickly as we could, which wasn't very quick.

Every time one came I yelled out in pain and he looked at me worried. "Need me to drive faster?" He asked and I shook my head. "I'm fine."

"Fine? Doll, you're about to have a baby!" He laughed and I giggled.

Another contraction hit and we pulled into the hospital and he ran to my door and opened it for me. He helped me out and got us into the lobby quickly.

"She's having a baby! Somebody!" He called out and I walked to the reception desk. "How far apart are your contractions?" The receptionist sweetly asked. "2 minutes." I said and another one hit and she called for a doctor and I got into a wheelchair and they brought us up to the delivery room.

An hour passed. We didn't tell the gang I was in labor, we just had the baby. Dally was right by my side the entire delivery.

"Baby, you need anything?" He said every five seconds. "I need this baby out of me!" I yelled and he just held my hand while the doctor told me to push.

"You're doing great." He whispered and would kiss my forehead every time we took a break. Soon, our baby girl was born. Dally cried when she cried, he was so incredibly happy to meet her.

Adeline Theodora Winston was finally born. He called the gang and they came and each of them got to hold her, but as soon as they all got their turn, Dally couldn't keep his hands off of her.

He held her, rocked her, sang to her, and fed her sometimes. He dressed her in her going home outfit and slept with her and I nearly cried every time I saw it.

"How'd this baby get so lucky to have a daddy like you?" I whispered as I walked up to him admiring her in her crib. "How'd she get so lucky to have you, baby?" He whispered back and put a hand on the small of my back.

I rested my head on his shoulder and let a happy tear fall down my cheek.
