"Hi." I said shortly when I saw him at the park. He stood up from the bench and looked at me. He pushed hair behind my ear and smirked a little.

"Hey," He said and I looked away from him and pushed passed to get to the bench. I sat down and covered myself with my hefty jacket. He sat down next to me and stared at me so I'd say something.

"You wanna talk? Let's talk." I said and he looked away and back at me. "What were you gonna tell me that night?" He asked me and I looked at him. I sighed and stood up. He looked at me confused and I took my jacket off and lifted my shirt. I turned to the side and cradled my belly.

"You're gonna be a dad." I said and his mouth went open wide. I quickly scrambled to get my jacket back on and I sat down next to him and he put his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands. "I'm ready to do this on my own." I said and he looked at me and turned his face into a mixture of hurt and anger.

"You think I'm gonna leave?" He said and I looked at him. "Come on Dallas, you hate kids."

"Who says it won't be different for this one? It's my kid, maybe I'll like it more than the others? Come on. Don't let me go that easily." He said and I let a tear fall, out of happiness. He actually wants to be here for this kid?

I jolted into a hug and he wrapped me tight and held me there for a long time. I pulled away and saw that he had been crying too. I wiped a tear off his cheek and he smiled. "I never stopped loving you." He said and I smiled too.

"Me neither." I said. He looked away and clear his face and chuckled. "Look at me, barely a dad and I'm already crying." I laughed and he looked at me with love in his eyes. For the first time in five months, I knew Dally loved me.
