I grabbed a memory book while putting Owen to sleep. I hadn't flipped through it in a few years, thought I'd do that.

I flipped through the pages and I found when I was first pregnant at the Curtis's. The photo was of me sitting down, looking like I was about to burst (damn well felt like it) and I was giving the camera a look. I always loved how Dally was looking at me in that photo.

I picked up the cards that Sodapop threw all over the floor. They played 52 pick up, out of all the days, today had to be the day. I could barely see where I was going or even my feet anymore nevertheless could I see these damn cards.

It's like all of them in sync ran over and forced me to get up and sit down, Dally right there beside me. I sat down and they all started to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Dally sat down next to me and I absorbed the chaos.

"Can pregnant people eat dairy?" I heard from the kitchen. "You idiot! It could screw up their milking!"

I looked at Dally and he met my eyes and smiled. I kissed him and I heard many feet run out. "Y/n, we made you a sandwich. But we don't know if we're allowed to put cheese on it. Are you allowed to eat dairy?" Ponyboy asked. I smiled. "No, it screws with my lactating." I replied and he ran back to the kitchen and yelled "I told you so!"

"Why would you tell him that?" Dally whispered smiling an amused smile. I giggled and put my hand on my stomach and felt her kick. "'Cause they're idiots." I grabbed Dally's hand and put it on my stomach and he felt her kick too. He got excited about it and rubbed it.

They came in with my sandwich and they handed it to me. I smiled and looked back at them. "Now, don't get up, because you could probably screw up something in there and I wanna hold her." Ponyboy said and I smiled. "Thank you, buddy." I said and smiled sweetly. I looked at Dally and he smiled too. "They really do care don't they." He said and I nodded. "Thankfully."
