A/N: modern.

I walked into the room and sat down. He followed suit and sat down in his seat in front of me. He turned around immediately and smirked and winked at me. I smiled softly and looked around the classroom.

Funny, all the girls in school had a crush on him, yet they didn't know I was dating him. Happened at the end of the school year last year. We spent almost every second of the summer together, and we planned to stay through school.

The teacher began introducing himself since it was the first day, and Dally shot me a look like he already wanted to get out of there. I continued to focus on what he was saying not to come off as rude.

"Mr. Winston, appears we've already met when you were slashing a student's tires in the student parking lot." The teacher said sternly. Dally did his infamous grin and sat up straight.

"Yeah man, 'cause that asshole tried hitting on my girl," He said and shot me a sweet look. The entire class (+ me) giggled at his words. I saw a couple girls get angered by the news of him not being single, and I was eating up every second of it.

The class ended and I left the room to my locker. I heard a lot of whispers going on around me. "You hear Dallas Winston has a new girl?" "Yeah, do you think we know them?" "Maybe. Maybe she's even in this school." I just smiled and opened the locker and looked at the picture of the two of us, his forearms resting on my shoulders from behind, kissing the back of my head, as I watched a bon fire. A couple class periods went by and as I was waiting to go into art, he walked by me. He grabbed my arm and all the girls looked at me. He leaned against the wall and got real close to my face. "The guys are hosting a bon fire tonight," He said and I took a quick glance to them. "Count me in." I smiled and he kissed me. He let go of my arm and I walked back to the crowd that was standing outside of the classroom and all the girls looked at me.

"You're Dally Winston's girl?" One of them spoke up. I'm not the prettiest, or the kindest, or the snottiest girl around. It's funny that I'd be the last person they expect.

"What about it?" I asked and checked my watch. "How'd that happen?" One of them cracked up I took a glance to Steve and he rolled his eyes. I giggled and we were finally let into the classroom.

I found Dally threatening some freshman in the sophomore hallway. I grabbed the back of his jacket and pulled him along and he looked at me angry. "What the hell man?" He snarled and I rolled my eyes. "Words out, heard plenty of 'why would Dally go for her's today." I said and he slung an arm around my shoulder.

"'Cause you're the real deal, darling," He said and I side hugged him and continued out the door to his car.

The next day, I was called to the guidance counselor's office. I thought it was just a yearly 'here's how the school year is gonna go' type thing but oh boy was I wrong.

"Take a seat Ms. Y/L/N, so I don't know if you know why I called you here." He began and I slouched in my chair.

"Humor me," I responded and he did a small chuckle. "So we've come aware of you and your and your new boyfriend's-" He began.

"W- w- wait, you've called me down here to discuss my personal relationship?" I said and he slightly panicked. "We just want what's best for you, and I'm afraid if you get thrown in with him and his-"

"No. I've been friends with them for five years, and you can't make me break up with my boyfriend- who I am finally happy with- because you think my grades are gonna slip." I said and he cleared his throat and I glared at him.

"Well, we can't force you to end things with him but we strongly encourage you do for academic success, and for your own sake. That boy doesn't have such a great reputation you know." He said and I grabbed my stuff and got up. "This meeting is over and I will contact the board if you try to intervene with my personal life without reason again." I stormed out of the office and down the opposite end of the school and I left.

I sat on the hood of his car and received a message from him right when I was gonna text him.

Loverboy🖤: How's it going? You've been gone for 35 minutes
Me: im waiting on the hood of your car.
Loverboy🖤: Talk about it when I get there?
Me: please

Soon enough I saw him running out of the same exit I left and he held up the keys and threw them to me so I'd start the car before the resource officer caught up with us. I jumped in the passenger and started the ignition as he jumped in the driver's and drove as they ran out the door.

"What happened in there?" He asked and rested a hand on my inner thigh. "Asshole tried asking me to break up with you." I responded and he pulled over. He looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows. "What the fuck?"

"I know. I told him the next time he tried to intervene with my personal life without real reason that I'd contact the board." I said and he looked in the rear view mirror for the cop.

"I guess I should tell you something too." He said and I looked at him confused. "Don't be mad," I shook my head, "Just tell me."

"Taylor tried convincing me to break up with you." He said and I threw my head back against the head rest. I ran my left hand down his and connected our fingers from the top. "I hate her."

"I do too." He responded and started to drive again. I looked out the window and watched as the trees went by and thought everything over. "You think us being public is a good thing? You're not embarrassed of me?" I asked him after 5 minutes of complete silence.

"Shut the fuck up." He just said and I giggled and looked at him. He pulled into his driveway and stopped the car. He looked at me and we made eye contact. Our eye contact was like a language only we could speak, this time it said "just kiss me, dammit."

He aggressively pulled me into a kiss and we made out in his car. He tried taking it one step farther but realized, maybe it's too soon and just continued to jam his tongue in my mouth.

Who was I to complain? His kiss was so mesmerizing I never wanted to stop.
