"It's your turn." I mumbled and tossed myself to the other side of the bed. He grumbled something and got out of bed and walked up to her crib. He gently picked her up and rocked her until she stopped crying. He started softly singing and I started to smile.

He was so gentle with his voice, even him being just woken up. He was singing and humming and rocking her in his arms. She was soon to quiet down and he carried her to our bed. He laid down with her on his chest and kissed her head before looking at me.

"I never had a doubt that you couldn't do this," I said and he smiled. "How could I not? Something this small can't be all that scary could it?" He looked back up and I shifted in bed. He puckered his lips a tiny bit and I kissed him softly. She was sound asleep on his chest and I smiled.

He picked her up from her car seat. "What do you say? You wanna see uncle Bit?" He asked and she looked around and nodded slightly. She was only one, she could understand us but not too much.

We carried her into the house and everybody said hi to her sweetly. Dally was smiling wide while Sodapop took her from his arms. I walked to the kitchen and met Darry. He dried his hands and hugged me tight and kissed my forehead like he always did. "Missed ya, smalls. You gotta start visiting more often."

Dally walked in and crossed his arms. "What's goin' on in here Curtis? Tryna steal my girl?" He said jokingly and him and Darry started wrestling. Darry? Wrestling? Yeah. I know.

I started laughing and I walked out to the living room where Two-Bit had my daughter on his lap while sipping beer and watching Mickey. She was tapped out of reality, she always was watching Mickey with Two. I sat down on the couch as Dally rubbed blood off a cut he just got and sat on the floor.

"Hey kid you want some beer?" Two-Bit asked and I ripped the beer from his hands. "Quit feeding my kid beer." I said and I took a swig and gave it back to him. He chuckled and continued to watch the show.

"We missed you boys." I said and sat back between Ponyboy and Johnny. "You gotta pay me for last week." Ponyboy said and put his hand out and I rolled my eyes and I handed him $3. "Thank you ma'am," I giggled and he smiled.

Everybody had fun tonight, we all hung out and I taught them how to parent and we played some board games. Finally, at last, my life wasn't just screwed up drama that could've been prevented in the first place.
