"I love you!" She screamed, next to the cop car he was being shoved into.

It was September 23, 1968. She made him promise not to go to the cooler anymore, but here she is. Screaming to him while he's got his head laid back in the back of the cop car, for suspected murder.

"You fucking pigs, he didn't do it!" She continued to yell at the police surrounding the area.

"Ma'am I'm gonna need you to step away-" The cop began and she shoved him away.

"You're gonna fucking regret this! He didn't do anything!" She sobbed and threw his lit cigarette at the Officer and stormed off in the other direction.

She cried the whole way back to their shared apartment. She tried to get a glass of water but ended up throwing the thing against the wall, causing it to shatter. She searched for his jacket and grabbed the picture of them together and held it close to her and cried.

This time, he was framed for a murder he didn't commit. He just had the knife planted into his pocket, and he had the police called on him.

She wasn't gonna sleep until she could see him again, and knowing the prison, that'd be a while.

2 months later.

"Visitation!" The guard said, tapping on the cell bars. One came and unlocked Dallas's door and escorted him out in handcuffs to the visitation center.

"Hey baby," He heard her sweet voice say as he sat down. He leaned across the table and kissed her but it was short lived when a guard yelled out at them.

"I'm trying to plead not guilty." He said and she looked at him with sadness in her eyes, "I know."

"I think they might let me go soon." He said, crossing his fingers, and she put her hands on his.

"I miss you." She said and he wanted to hug her so incredibly bad. He wanted to hold her again and have her again.

"I want you so bad, I don't think you understand."

"I do too. How's this place treating you? Do I have to come and save you?" She joked, trying to lift the spirits.

"It's alright. I mean, I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole. Nobody could steer me right but you tried." He said with a smile.

"Did you just quote Merle Haggard?" She said with a grin lifting her cheeks.

"You tried, you tried!" He sang in the tune of Mama Tried quietly and she laughed.

"Okay! 1 more minute!" A guard yelled across the room.

"I'll come back for you soon, hopefully you'll get some news whether you're staying or not."

A guard lifted him up from his seat aggressively and he smiled once more at her in the dimly sun lit room.

"I love you!" He exclaimed.

"I love you too." She said with a sweet smile.
