Context: Y/n fell in love, but she realized who she was in love with, and got into a fight with him.

"You know, once upon a time, a few mistakes ago, I must have been in your sights and then you got me alone. You found me, and I gave in!" She yelled and paced the room. He just sat on the edge of the bed and stared at her.

"I guess you didn't care and I guess I liked that, and when I fell hard you took a nice, long step back. Without me."

"You knew what you were getting into." He said and she scoffed.

"You're long gone even when you're next to me. I guess the blame is on me." She said and she sat in the desk chair and studied at the floor.

"You know I'm not capable of loving you. And you should have known that." He said and she shot her head up.

"I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me. It's like you flew me to places I've never been but then you put me down. Now I'm laying on the cold hard ground waiting for you to pick me up again. But that's never gonna happen." She said and he continued to stare at her.

"I'm broken and nothing is gonna fix that, y/n. You should be the one to know that. I'm sorry." He said and she scoffed again.

"No apologies, because you'll never see me cry. You'll just pretend you don't know that you're the reason why. It's like I'm drowning." She stood back up and stared at him while he looked at the wall behind her.

"It hurts that I've heard you've moved on, from whispers on the streets. A new notch in your belt is all I'll ever be." She picked up her jacket and tried to leave but he stopped her. She turned around and he looked at her.

"Listen, I really am so-"

"It's the saddest fear that creeps in during the night, that you never loved me, or her, or anyone or anything, Dally." She left and he realized he screwed up by not telling her that he did love her.
