The loud scream he releases as he falls to the ground is like music to my ears.

I smile as I look down at him, the arrow of my bow stuck right in the middle of his chest. He's lying on the ground trying to pull it out, but the poison has already started to seep into his body.

"You know, for someone who loves to torture little kids, I really thought you would fight back more. Though, I guess all the people you tortured were young, helpless little girls that couldn't fight back." I snarl at him, annoyed that the poison is working fairly quickly, but at least his last minutes alive will be painful.

He looks up at me from the hard concrete ground of the jail-like place he keeps the bodies of all the dead girls he'd captured and killed. I quickly look around again, trying to spot the girl that I was sent to save.

The room isn't that big, the four walls are just slabs of thick concrete, littered with filth and gore and other than the piles of dead bodies, the room is empty.

"You don't know what you're talking about, human. Those Fae are trouble, manipulative. They twist their truths. Whatever they're telling you is not true." He tells me and I look back at him and watch as he tries not to choke on his blood.

"Well it's very hard not to believe them when this room is full of bodies." I tell him. "Now, tell me who you are working for." I say as I walk towards him.

He lets out a dry laugh. "Oh human, you really know nothing, do you?"

I tilt my head as he continues talking, "You're on the wrong side, human. You're working for the bad guys." He snickers, despite the look of pain on his face.

I snort at his response and crouch down next to him, "The Light Fae aren't the ones that are going around capturing girls, you and your other Vampire friends do that."

All he does is smile, showing his teeth that look like they hadn't been cleaned for years. I twist the arrow that's still embedded in his chest and he lets out a pained gasp, "Who do you work for." I ask him again, my voice deathly low.

"Just you wait, human. You'll regret ever working for the Light Royals. They're hiding lots of things." He says as he starts to cough.

"What do you mean?" I ask him, but his head rolls back, his empty eyes staring at the roof.

"Fucking hell." I curse as I stand up and kick his corpse, just to make sure he's dead.

Vampires are very tricky creatures, though not as tricky as Fae, that's for sure. I wouldn't put it past him to fake his death.

But clearly I had overestimated him.

"Fucking hell." Another voice comes from behind me. I quickly summon the arrow in the dead Fae's chest back into my bow as I spin around and aim it at the person behind me.

"What the fuck." I say, shocked at the sight in front of me.

"What the fuck." The young girl in front of me repeats with a giggle.

"Don't say that." I say to her, feeling uneasy that the kid copied my bad words.

The girl giggles again, her white eyes bright as she looks up at me. She has small white wings protruding from her back and immediately I know that this was the girl the Light King asked me to bring back. I didn't expect her to be this young though, she looks around five.

She has white hair that falls down to her waist and it's still shiny, despite the chunks of blood and dirt stuck in it. She's wearing a white gown that goes down to her knees, with slits in the back to make room for her wings - how she even got her wings through them in the first place I don't know.
