I walk over to the lock on the cell door and slide my hand through the bars and gently push the key into the hole. I twist my wrist and the door opens with a quiet click.
Hah. So much for a high security prison.
"What are you doing?" The lady across from me snaps and I turn over to look at her. She's slowly walking to the bars of her cell, watching me standing in front of my open cell door.
It's silent as we stare at each other for a few moments, cause it's obvious that I'm escaping.
"Let me out!" She screeches, making me jump a little. Her voice was different from before. It was high pitched but also deep, it felt dry but also wet. It was weird and it sent shivers down my spine.
That was the person that killed the royal family.
I slowly look the lady up and down, closer to her this time. From this close, I can smell her breath, and I know that if I'd eaten recently, I would have vomited.
"No." I scoff, "And do you know why lady?" I ask her and she's quiet. I roll my eyes - I seem to be doing a lot of that lately - and turn to my left, walking down the hallway to the door the guard had just left from.
"Why?" She yells out, her voice sounding sweet and innocent again, but I know that it was just an act.
"Because I know you wouldn't do it for me." I tell her and I see a flash of anger flare in her eyes.
"That's not tr-"
I lift my hand up, signalling for her to stop. And to my surprise she does. Mid sentence. "And also because I will not be responsible for any other people you kill because I let you out."
She glares at me as I start to walk closer to her bars.
"I promise I will not kill anyone else!" She shrieks, falling onto her knees behind the bars. "Just let me out of this place!"
"Do you promise not to kill anyone?" I ask her and she stands up, wiping at invisible tears.
"Yes! Yes! I promise!" She cries and I step in front of her cell door, putting the key into the hole.
Just before I twist it though, I pull my hand back, taking the key back with it.
"Just kidding. You murdered innocent people. I am not letting you free." I smirk and dodge out of the way when her arms reach out to grab me.
I turn around and walk down the hallway, stopping when I get to the metal door.
"Ciao old lady," I shout as I grip the handle, "See you, well, never, Murder."
"You bitch." She sneers at me as I put my pointer and middle finger together and raise it to my forehead, giving her a strong salute before taking a deep breath and quietly open the door.
I poke my head out, ignoring the lady's cries and see another hallway. I look both ways but see no guards.
Weird. Didn't she say it was a high security prison?
I step out of the room and quietly shut the door behind me.
The hallway I enter now is similar to the short walkway that was behind me, but it's much longer and from what I can see, it has no cells.
Do I go left or right though?
The left seems longer, less turns, compared to the right which has a corner about ten meters down.
I'll go right. Can never go wrong with right.
Besides, the curvier hallways will make it harder to be spotted, but I'll also be blind to anyone coming around the corners.
