Olivia had dropped off Jamina early again so she could get to the office and start prepping the groundwork for Spencer's interview, that she was conducting. The clicks of her red bottoms hit the pavement with every stride she made to her office. On the way there, she peeped through her best-friend's office, noticing she was occupied over the phone, thinking it was a business, but little did she know, the conversation she was currently having was far from business. Kia had her lips curved as she had her legs propped on her desk, leaning back in her chair with the phone in one hand.
"Did you like the video babe?"
"You know I did, but I would've liked to see that in person this past weekend had you came out here like we planned" Kia sighed at her boyfriend's disappointment behind her not coming to visit him two weekends ago. She was supposed to leave town to visit him for a few days so they could get some much-needed quality time in since they hadn't seen each other in months due to his busy schedule as a national athlete and football player while living practically across the country from each other in different states.
"Baby don't be like that, you know I wouldn't have cancelled on you if I didn't have a good reason"
"I know that, but it's been months K, we've planned at least three or four times for you to come down here and you've cancelled literally every single time, and that's not like you, is there something I need to know about?" Kia traced her tongue over her teeth getting silent.
"I'm not speaking to a wall, am I? What's up Kia?"
"Why are you acting like this right now you know things have been kinda crazy over here with the company. Liv and I have been doing extremely well but our clientele list is growing day by day which means more work for me with recruitment, the interviews, and scheduling shoots"
"Ok I get that work is keeping you busy and I support you 1000 percent, and Liv, but you've gotta find a way to balance that because it just seems you never have any time for us or our relationship" Kia scoffed under her breath running her fingers through her hair. It was true that she had become more distant, but she wasn't the only one that needed to allow more time for them in the relationship either.
"You know I find it oddly funny how you wanna sit here and jump down my throat about me not making time for you when it's really you who doesn't make time for me" Kia shot at him and she could feel him getting irritated over the phone.
"I'm an athlete babe I don't make half of the decisions in my day"
"No shit but you could utilize your free time a little more, so it's spent with your girlfriend, and not video games, your teammates and the groupie hoes they hang with"
"See that right there is what I don't have time for, those groupie hoes your speaking of are never around me and are there for the enjoyment of my boys, not me, so you really need to chill out wit that. I only have eyes for you, and you know that"
"You may not be entertaining them like they do but you're around your boys almost everyday and they stay keeping those thirsty bitches around them which means, they are around my man as well, so what else am I supposed to think?" She rebuffed with him not hearing any of that.
"You're not supposed to think at all, you're supposed to trust me, but clearly you don't!" Her boyfriend was starting to get loud with her.
"If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't be with you and you of all people should already know this"
"Yeah? Well, you got a funny way of showing it, every time I bring up us not spending enough time together you bring this up as a buffer and it's really working my nerves" He said through his teeth trying to refrain from completely going off. Kia tapped her nails on her desk rolling her eyes to the ceiling above.
