Olivia's conscience got the best of her as she changed paths and turned her way to the printing room to get Kia. Why the hell did I do that? She thought to herself as she opened the printing room door.
"Kia, my office please"
"Ok" Kia followed behind her as they went back to her office, and she closed the door behind her. Liv paced the floor before her throat cleared and she looked up at her best-friend and assistant.
"Listen, I'm sorry for snapping at you the way that I did"
"It's ok I was totally out of line"
"No, you weren't, and you were right about what you said, but I just...I'm still trying to process the fact that he's even back and part of my life again and I just need some time to be secure in the fact that he's here to stay, but right now, my minds unsure of that so I just need some time..."
"I understand sis, but I only said what I said because your my family and I want whats best for you, and I think you should really think this through before it goes any further"
"Okay, I promise, I'll give it more thought before we...move forward, whichever way that goes" Kia nodded before turning her attention back to the task at hand.
"Well we better get in there, Spencer and his team is in the boardroom waiting on us boss" Kia said while placing the papers in her arms.
"You right Kia, you got everything we need?" Olivia was asking while checking her hair and makeup in her mirror.
"Everything is good; By the way, you're looking hella sexy today Liv with this cheetah print suit on and that red lipstick girl" Kia compliments while watching Olivia glance at herself in the mirror before they head off to the meeting.
"Thanks Kia, let's go in this meeting and smash it okayyy," Olivia says to Kia in a happy tone.
"Liv, I must say it's great to see you smiling, my boy Spence got you glowing girl," Kia whispers quietly as Olivia smiles discreetly as she opens the boardroom door.
"Good morning Mr. James and team, thank you for waiting patiently as my assistant and I was going over some last-minutes details." Olivia sat down slowly in her chair looking directly at Spencer.
"Wasn't that the hold up last time?" Nicole scoffs.
"Ms. Nicole if I remember quite frankly you asked for the best for your client and the only way to do so is to put my best foot forward to the T and give my all. If that costs you a minute or two I'm sure Mr. James wouldn't mind isn't that right?" Liv questions.
"Good morning Ms. Baker, yes that's right." Spencer says while locking eyes with her and licking his lips. Olivia looked down at her papers slightly blushing while biting her bottom lip.
Olivia's POV: Why is Spencer so hot when he licks those lips of his? My body is so feverish right now. I need to stop looking his way and focus.
"Yeah Good morning to you to Olivia!" Nicole says with a slight attitude while rolling her eyes.
"In this office, everyone calls her Ms. Baker, no exceptions for your information."Kia smiled while checking Nicole in a professional tone.
Olivia stared at Nicole waiting patiently for her ass to apologize. Nicole completely avoids looking in Olivia's direction.
"If all minds and ATTITUDES are clear, I'd like to get our meeting started" Olivia announced looking across at Spencer, Nicole, and the rest of the crew in the room.
"We are definitely ready Ms. Baker, are you ready?" Spencer says while slightly laughing and smiling at her with his hands folded on the table.
"Oh I'm more than ready" Liv says as she leans forward in her chair and every curve of her upper body shines through her suit.
