"So happy you could make it!" Liv stated happily as she hugged Trey by the door welcoming him in.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world peach, you call, I answer. Besides, with everything happening with my mom right now, I could use an familiar face."

"How's she doing?"

"Not so good, but uh...I don't really want to talk about that right now" His tone laced in sadness.

"I'm so sorry Rey....I can only imagine what your going thru right now" Liv empathizes with gloomy eyes.

"Don't get soft on me now peach! I'm the overly sensitive one in this friendship!" She pushed him playfully as he handed her Mina's gift.

"This is for Mina, I hope she likes it, I didn't really know what to get her"

"If it's a doll, or any kind of jewelry, she'll love it"

She tapped his back with reassurance as they walked further into the house while Spencer had a cup in his hand watching them from a corner. The more he watched, the angrier he got. Liv's eyes pushed to the side of her and could feel Spencer watching her like a hawk. The minute she caught on, she instantly regretted turning around his direction. His eyes were fiery red as he found himself slowly walking towards her and Trey. Her cheeks grew hot with every step she watched him make. The closer he got, the more nervous she became. I clearly didn't think this through. Spencer purposely stood in front of them with his hands tucked behind his back.

"I hope I'm not interrupting" Trey's eyes darted between Liv and Spencer, feeling very confused by this interaction.

"You're not, just talking to a friend" Liv spoke in a serious tone.

"Friend huh? Right, right, sorry where are my manners, what's your name my guy?" Spencer slightly moved Liv to the side of them as he stuck his hand out for Trey to shake. He hesitated before accepting the invitation.

"I'm Trey, a friend of Liv's, from back in college, we met before"

"Nah, ion remember meeting you homie" Spencer said bluntly while keeping a tight grip as he shook the man's hand. Trey could feel Spencer tryna twist his arm and burning a hole into his face as they shook hands, and he quickly removed his out of discomfort. Spencer stared him down with Trey not letting up on his end.

"My mistake then" Spencer nodded pretending to go along with it before snapping his fingers like he was having an "ah-ha!" moment.

"You know what! I think I do remember you, you was Liv's podcast co-host! & the reason why she barely came home at night" He retorted with a smirk painted on his lips. Trey smiled looking down chuckling under his breath leaning over Spencer's ear resting his hand on his shoulder. Trey didn't want an issue but he wasn't going to back down either, especially on an situation that's not his responsibility to fix.

"Is that how you remember it? Because...the way I remember it is...you and your busy ass schedule was the reason she barely came home, don't put that on me man" He said almost below a whisper making Spencer's teeth clench and his blood boil. Liv eye's went between the men watching the exchange seeing how worked up Spencer was, and Trey's level of serenity being threatened in this moment. It could go only one way if this banter continued so she put a stop to it. She pushed herself between them pressing her hand on Spencer's chest to prevent him from retaliating.

"Ok! uhm I think that's enough introductions for one day, Rey, will you do me a favor and find Kia for me, tell her to fill up on snacks for the guests and start to prepare the cake"

"Sure, thing peach, I got you. Nice seeing you again Spencer" Spencer threw him a fake smile as he walked away from them then directed his anger upon Liv the next second throwing daggers into her eyes as he looked.
