Spencer rushed through traffic to get to them after Mina called him about Liv. He had a little more healing up to do but he was healed up enough from the accident to drive on his own again, though he was scared to at first. The urgency in his daughter's voice is what compelled him to make the long drive over. His tires screeched over the pavement as he made his arrival, parking on the side of the street hopping out. He knocked amply.
"Olivia....Liv you in there?"
He juggled the doorknob seeing it was unlocked pushing the door open. He could hear muffled cries from the floor as his head shifted to the kitchen where his eyes finally landed on Liv. He walked in the house slowly seeing Liv sitting on the floor in tears with pieces of shattered glass surrounding her. She picked up an piece of glass, then another, before bursting into tears once again, with her head hung low. Her mind had been so laser focused on the glass and her current emotional state, she hadn't even noticed Spencer's presence.
"Olivia..." He announced her name and her head rose, their eyes meeting.
"Hey"
"Hi..." She cried with a smile then a crack in her voice before looking back down at the glass. He moved in closer, bending down to her level, with his arm hanging on his knee.
"Seems like you've made quite a mess here...."
"This broken glass is nothing compared to my life right now.... wha-what are you even doing here?"
"Well, our daughter called me and thought that her mother may need her father's help" His head tilted to the side as his eyes roamed the entire room seeing where the glass started and ended. She sniffled with a chuckle.
"Yeah well, she was wrong, I don't need any help, I'm fine Spence" She mouthed as he grabbed her arm as she tried to get up from the floor.
"You're not fine Liv, and you shouldn't be mad at her right now"
"She shouldn't have called you" She marked emphatically avoiding his eyes playing with her fingers. Spencer sighed under his breath as his eyes remained on her.
"She's worried about you Liv, and if I'm being honest here...so am I"
"Oh, so what you're like the expert now? Everything good with you huh?" She snapped in an aggravated tone. She wasn't angry at him, or even Mina, she was angry with herself and right now she was just taking that out on the wrong person without admitting so.
"No Olivia.... everything's not good with me, but I'm making the steps to get it that way. Nothing will ever be always good but what's important is being able to ask for help when you need it. There's power in that, there's strength in that and it doesn't make you less of a woman when you do" It was at this very moment when she stopped avoiding his gaze and looked straight into his eyes, letting the tears fall to the side before her head slouched back down to her lap.
"I...I yelled at her Spence..."
"It's okay Liv..."
"No it's not okay. I yelled at her because I can't yell at myself, and I haven't been able to say this out loud yet, but I yelled because...I'm angry. I'm angry that the two people who I feel so close also feel like strangers, because I can't remember having one of them and I can't remember falling in love with the other. I'm angry because I can't remember and I want to and I'm angry because there's nothing, I can do about it, and I'm tired..." She fiddled with her fingers as the tears came gushing out turning into slow sobs.
"I'm sooo tired Spence and exhausted, I feel completely helpless, and I don't...don't know what to do..." her sobs were complete as Spencer's eyes softened seeing her this way. Things felt haywire to him, and he was still processing everything happening around them but at this very moment, he knew she just needed a form of support and he wanted to be that for her during this time of transition. He placed his thumb under her chin with his index finger against her lower lip.
