Emma sat on the couch in her apartment.
It had been three days since she'd seen her family.
It had been three days since she'd last seen Killian.
Because he was dead and nothing she did could reverse that.
Emma felt like an immense part of her was gone.
And he was never coming back.
She never found out how it happened, she just knew that he'd been trying to protect her.
There had been blood everywhere.
She'd been too late.
So she sat alone, isolated, by herself forever.
Just another relationship ending in tragedy for her.
Emma didn't feel like a person anymore.
Remembering him just made it worse.
Eva started crying and she got up to get her.
As she rocked her two-month-old back and forth, tears falling from her eyes, she saw Killian in Eva's dark hair, in the shape of her face.
"Daddy loved you," she whispered to her daughter.
"Without you, I feel broke
Like I'm half of a whole
